We ate at the hotel restaurant, 1921. The service was attentive, pleasant and all-out welcoming. Gonzalo was very knowledgeable and his hospitality was second to none. We were able to try and enjoy local wine that he recommended and his ability to speak English was an added bonus. The staff and hotel are amazing and any would-be traveler to Montevideo should make a point to have dinner at "1921" and afterwards head to reception and reserve a room. Fantastic!

WORST SERVICE AND DEFINITELY WORST STAY OF MY LIFE. Would never recommend this hotel. Was treated like i wasn’t paying to be there.

The hotel is fantastic !!! The area is very beatiful and overall people very nice and helpful. the restaurant and bar have great food and drinks. The hotel architecture very classic and well mantained … The Carrasco area around the hotel has plenty of good restaurantes and shpping stores.
Sebastian at the porter always nice and friendly.
I strong recommend Sofitel in Montevideo
