Is a good place to stay as long as you are willing to accept it isn’t a Marriott with ac and such. I liked our stay

Jungle nature immersion

It was quiet friendly and really walkable, older and very basic rooms but clean .

This is a very wonderful property. On our first morning there, we woke to the sounds of the howler monkeys! I saw a few on the property. We saw lots of wildlife, which is what we had been hoping for. The trails are beautiful. It felt very safe and the staff was wonderful. There is an easy walk to town for restuarants and shopping. This property was absolutely amazing!

In town jungle lodge
Posted 29 Jun 2024 on HotelsWe loved the lodge but there was no initial information about the lack of a restaurant on the property. They referred us to the lodge on the adjoining property and it was okay, but quite a ways up the hill (walking, dark at night). Although the lodge is "in town", it was quiet and easy to get to. Looking out from our porch, it did feel and look like we were in the jungle.

The property itself was beautiful and the service was awesome. The rooms themselves are quite humid so all of the bedding was damp. Also we shared a building with another room and the walls are extremely thin. You can hear everything your neighbor is doing at all hours of the day. Also, if one room runs hot water, it limits the hot water in the other room (cold night time showers). The restaurant is also not on the grounds, it is at the hotel at the top of the property which for the hike, the food was ok. The grounds themselves are pretty and have their own hiking trail but overall experience this was not fully as advertised.
