"Great apartment but the building is undergoing some massive renovation and there was a lot of noise during the day and construction scaffolds everywhere. Both balconies in the apartment had scaffolding out front so we couldn’t use them and had to keep the windows closed. The area isn’t great, typical university type vibe. Didn’t feel unsafe at all, but lots of graffiti. If we go back I’d probably choose a place closer to piazza maggiorie. "

"What a treat to stay in one of the Phi Hotel apartments in the heart of Bologna. Comfortable, clean with lots of room and well equipped kitchen- with lots of coffee. Serviced every day. Reception in hotel very helpful. "

"A great place to stay for our three nights in Bologna. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. There are grocery stores nearby and a good restaurant across the street. Our place also had a washing machine, which I wasn't expecting. Although a bit dated, the apartment was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. "

"The Aparment is an interior unit over looking the interior roof of the building underneath. It's on the second floor right above one of the main city fresh food and fish markets. It's very centrally located right next to the main city square with walkable distance to all the main city attractions. However with that location comes really heavy noise in the evenings from several restaurants and bars downstairs until late, as well as some mornings hearing all the bottles and garbage...

"Its in a great location but we were on the top floor of 4 flights of very steep stairs trying to carry heavy suit case. there was no help from the girl who showed us the room. We are elderly and probably shouldnt have booked a place with such steep stairs. But the location was absolutely perfect and the room was charming. I had to fix the bed as a few of the wooden slats in the base were broken and the mattress sank. Despite the roof top apartment being up high there was no view from the...

"We had a really good stay in the absolute centre of Bologna. The property was very well kept though the mattress, whilst adequate, could probably do with replacing soon. The property management were very efficient and provided plenty of information to make our brief stay a good one."

"The apartment is very spacious and the location is close to everything. We enjoyed our time there cooking, shopping and resting. It's noisy at night if you open the windows, other than that I appreciate everything."

"We had a very nice stay at Casa del Laureato. We were worried at first because the building was nondescript but upon entering the door we were pleasantly surprised. The apartment was bright, clean, spacious, modern, cozy and organized. The big window was a huge plus, the bed was comfortable, the heating worked, necessities were available in the kitchen, there was a washer, a smart tv, the wifi worked. "Phi hotel is right in the heart of the old town, within a few minutes walk to the main square. We stayed at an annexed apartment that's really spacious, with a kitchen, two bedrooms and bathrooms. The is parking for an additional fee, it's very tight and I had to be very careful to get in and out. However, a hotel staff was there to provide guidance which was a big help. We didn't need the car while we stayed at the hotel, and walked everywhere since it's so close to the old town center. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for staying in Bologna."

"This was a surprise stay! Certainly a little older lodging, but very charming and located superbly— 5 minute walk from the train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the historic downtown of Bologna. I was greeted by the friendliest hotel staffer I’ve ever met. Franco was a delight! He was helpful, hospitable, lovely disposition, and very generous with his time and attention. The hotel has all the reasons one would want to return, but Franco certainly seals the deal! "

"It’s my second stay at this hotel and I love it. It’s very traditionally Italian so don’t expect sleek and modern. But that’s how I like my hotels in Italy. The location is perfect - right in the historical centre and literally seconds away from great bars and restaurants and all the main sights in Bologna centre. The buffet breakfast is great and the staff really helpful. "
