I cannot speak highgly enough about the very warm welcome that you receive from Gianfranco. He has put a lot of love and attention into ensuring that he has created an oasis of calm for your holiday. The breakfast is plentiful with the variety of breads, savouries and cakes changing daily. Gianfranco also kindly supplied bread and meats for lunch each day. He also provided guide books and recommendations for local restaurants. A truly wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make your holiday memorable. Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday.

Welcoming B&B with hidden extras

Posted 16 Sep 2015
Pros: Friendliness of owner, surroundings, pool and garden
Cons: More drawer space in bedrooms; an English TV channel (e.g World service or News)
Location: Set in Itria valley, peaceful rural location but driving distance to historic sites. Need car.
La Cassetta is in a rural position with views of the Adriatic coast. The owner takes pride in his small B&B and goes out of his way to make you welcome. The rooms are spotless self contained units with comfortable beds and good en suite facilities. What makes this place special are the 'extras'. We were greeted with a choice of beer/wine/soft drinks and Puglia sweet snacks whilst checking in and although the owner speaks very little English he obviously was keen to ensure we enjoyed our short stay. He had no trouble suggesting local restaurants and places to visit. In the well tended garden of the property there is a small pool with sufficient sun loungers for all his guests, a spa bath, sauna and even a self service 'honesty' bar. There are several outside seating areas to relax in. Outside clothes racks for drying beach For breakfast the buffet offered cereals, fruit, meat, cheese, eggs and amazing cream filled cornetti (croissants) and doughnuts. We only wish we had stayed longer!

Welcoming B and B set in ancient olive groves

Posted 18 May 2014
Pros: We liked the owner Gianfranco, the location and secure parking, the accommodation, the breakfast, the garden.
Location: Easy reach of: Trulli houses, local port town of Monoploli, coast, Greek/Roman archaeological site, old hill towns, large caves, Zoo.
We stayed at La Casetta for two weeks and had a great time. The owner, Gianfranco, is very welcoming and hospitable. He did everything he could to make us feel at home. If you don't speak Italian he has an English friend who he can call in to translate. The continental breakfast is very good and Gianfranco can adapt it to your taste. It includes fresh fruit, local ham and cheese, and freshly baked bread and pastries. Gianfranco is a mine of information about what to see, where to eat, local festivals and information about the Puglian way of life. Guest accommodation is separate from the house so guests are independent and there is plenty of secure parking. La Casetta has a beautiful garden with views over the olive trees towards the sea, great to relax in. The property is set in a quiet rural location but is well placed to if you want to get out and visit places of interest. The local olive trees are amazing - some are several hundred years old.

Wunderbare B&B-Anlage auf einem Hügel mit Meeresbl

Posted 1 Apr 2018
