One of the most beautiful and relaxing places I’ve stayed. We did a hike which they packed us a lunch in a backpack for, then we spent the afternoon by the pool drinking cocktails. At night we had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was way better than our expectations. The room in the castle was everything I imagined a castle room to be but also had a good comfortable bed and soundproof walls. Special thanks to the bartender who also took care of the bags and seemed to be doing a bit of everything, also to the sommelier at the restaurant as well as the lady who owns this who walked around to every table at dinner making sure the stays were up to standard.

Excellent
Posted 19 Jun 2019 on HotelsThis is an excellent hotel, and I recommend it highly to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. The staff are incredibly helpful to the point of constantly addressing any need or desire that you have. The property itself is gorgeous and the village in which it is situated very nice (not to mention that the entire Pyrénées-Orientales département is an exceptionally nice area). There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel as well, which I also recommend to anyone looking for a very nice dinner. If I were to nitpick, the only negative of this hotel is that the WiFi connectivity is slow. However, with such a nice environment, that may be a positive!

Quirky hotel

Pros: The restaurant in the chateau
Cons: Decor, bringing everything up to date
Location: lots of mountains and views
This is an unusual hotel, and very quirky. To start with, it is quite a distance from the main town and is approached by a windy mountainside road which the locals may be happy to speed along, but I certainly was not.
The staff were very friendly and helpful but we were given one of their garden cottages which was very strange in design, cold, and actually had a damp patch in the corner. I have subsequently found that guests have complained about these cottages before now. It had a balcony which was overgrown and there was an abundance of mosquitoes, which made the balcony unusable. We complained about the damp in the room and to their credit, they upgraded us to a room inside the chateau at no extra cost, although we had to spend one more night in the cottage as they were fully booked. The room in the chateau was fine, I guess, having never stayed in an actual chateau before. It was like going back in time a couple of hundred years, very old fashioned and a bit odd. Not exactly to our tasting, but if you are looking for this genre, then fine.
The hotel has an adjoining spa hotel where we eat on the first night. This hotel looks better from a distance! Up close, again a bit odd and in need of lots of money to bring it up to scratch. We eat there the first night and it was ok. The second night we eat at the main restaurant in the Chateau and the food was amazing. We would recommend this hotel (NOT the cottage) if you were going to eat at the restaurant.

Unique property for a stay in the Pyrenees

Pros: Ellegance, location, luxury feel, swimming pool, restaurant, breakfast
Cons: Garden cottages need a revamp
Location: Beautiful location, great for walking and cycling adventures, very peaceful and natural. Spa in town, and good cafe nearby
This property is a chateau style hotel, quite eccentric in it's layout and location. We loved the experience and wanted to stay for longer. Nestled in the hills, amongst beautiful trees, sights and in the lap of luxury, it is very relaxing and the service is personal and attentive.
We ate in the restaurant after a confusion on what else may be open, and had a beautiful meal, and the breakfast was terrific in a quaint sunroom behind the hotel.
Our room was comfortable, but a little old fashioned with funny plumbing.
