We stayed in a convict built two bedroom, two bathroom ,log fireplace all original features dwelling on a 72 acre farm . Surrounded by farmland with magnificent trees and gardens . Greeted by their three dogs.
Supplied with milk, bread eggs and produce from farms , All for a very reasonable price.
Would love to return for longer next time. Only 1.15 hours from Cradle Mountain. Great wholesome meals at hotel in town.

Lication, views and spa spectacular. Fully equipped kitchen and wood fire was a nice touch. Very friendly hosts with a canine welcoming comittee. All the littke luxuries are thought of. ..farm fresh butter, eggs, milk, bacon and jams a beautiful touch.Highly recommended and looking forward to returning.

The property was beautiful as was our cabin. The view was delightful and the owners extremely friendly and welcoming. The area was peaceful and serene and had nice hiking nearby.

Posted 12 Mar 2024 on HotelsGreat hosts. Very private cottage with rural views. Lovely breakfast hamper supplied, with farm fresh eggs. One of Tassie's top short walks was just around the corner. A bit over an hour's drive to Cradle Mountain, and not far from caves and waterfalls. The hot tub on the deck was perfect after a day of walking at Cradle Mountain.

Great stay
Posted 11 Feb 2024 on HotelsWe loved our stay. Beautiful cottage with everything we needed. Hot spa on deck was great and loved the outlook. The property was lovely and nice to wander around and see the animals. We ordered a platter on arrival which was delicious and our host Shane informed us of all the local produce provided on platter plus the local wine.

We loved our stay at Blackwood Cottages. Property was absolutely beautiful and our hosts were amazing and so friendly. Loved hearing about the history of the property and especially thankful for the delicious local produce provided (such a wonderful surprise). The Hobbit Cottage was just gorgeous and we loved having a fire at night (it was cold enough for us Queenslanders!). Spectacular views from all around, and we loved wandering around the farm with the friendly dogs! Couldn't have asked for a better experience on our holiday, I'd recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much!!
