Excellent stay, would highly recommend it. Live music in the bar in the evening, with a healthy top shelf of single malts. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, arranging an early morning breakfast for our start.

A warm welcome from Elaine on arrival in a perfect town centre location. The hotel suited our needs completely and we were sorry we only had one night. Will plan to return!

Great staff

Staff on arrival fab, very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we’re informed that the restaurant was closed that evening which we would have preferred to know beforehand so we could have arranged something else. Room clean but a little on the small side. Hotel could do with a little updating but it looked as if that was in hand. Breakfast plentiful and good along with the service

Large clean and old fashioned room, all was exceptable but I didn’t have my pyjamas and it was a bit cold so had to sleep fully clothed .

We stopped one night on a long journey. A well established hotel in a forgotten corner of the world. Did the basics right, comfortable, everything worked if a bit old fashioned. We had a good evening meal there.

Great time in Moffat

Arrived earlier than expected but was able to book in and go to the room. Very clean with good linen and towels in the bedroom. The receptionist forgot to tell us that we had to book a time for having breakfast, although it was no problem when we went down the next morning. Agreed to have the same time for breakfast each day we stopped in the hotel.

Lovely hotel.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff. The food was of a high quality, both breakfast and dinner. The Thursday night acoustic music was excellent and worth coming back for.

Lovely hotel.

This is a lovely hotel in a nice small town The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. We had a very enjoyable evening in the bar for the Thursday night music night and even joined in with a borrowed guitar. The locals were very friendly and inclusive.

Great stay - excellent food and service. Provided a secure place to keep my bike. Restaurant deserves special mention - dinner and breakfast both high quality efficiently served. Young lady at reception and serving in the restaurant provided excellent service - sorry I don't have her name.

As we had a dog with us we were put in a ground floor room which was in need of a total refurbishment and not really upto what the hotel portrays on their website. To be fair we asked for another room and were given a very nice 1st floor room. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Tired hotel, nice food and friendly staff

Bedroom was tired looking, floors sagged, tv was very old, toilet seat wobbly, no cupboard in bedroom but a small one in bathroom but coat hangers too high for my wife to reach. Food was really good and staff very pleasant

Initial room offered was damp and smelt of damp, raised the issue with reception who were really understanding and quickly rectified the issue and offered an alternate room. Staff were all extremely helpful and attentive.
