The La Bella Modena we stayed at was very nice, had free parking, and was clean and comfortable, but was more than a mile from the center of town. I had originally booked at La Bella Modena CENTRO, but needed to move my date by a day, which I did on Expedia using “Change Dates” option on booking. New date was approved, I paid a small difference in charge, but I failed to notice that I had been changed to La Bella Modena, NOT CENTRO. I don’t know if this is Expedia’s or LBM’s fault, but I felt tricked and irritated when I went to the wrong location, had to go to the other location, and lost my restaurant reservation.

Dear Jeffrey,I'm sorry to hear about your inconvenience and that you had a bad experience. We have received a cancellation for your first reservation and a new booking in our other property. This is not a changing date, it seems more like a change of mind... And it also amazes me that you didn't notice, the address is remembered everywhere. We have been in contact for many things, even less important ones, and you haven't told me anything...You say that you don't know who made this mistake but the low review is only for us, the rating will go down only for us!!

Loved the property except that it was hot in the room and I couldn’t adjust the air conditioning. I could open windows for cooling but there were no screens so bugs would come in.

The worst stay in this price range

The hotel advertises amenities that aren’t working properly. 1. Their interpretation of the median temp law lets them permanently restrict your ability to use AC if room temp reaches even 1/10 degree below 24. The small room is hot and stuffy with no air circulation. Opening windows would help, except the street is super loud and there’s mosquitoes at night. 2. The wifi is free, but is very unreliable. Takes extremely long to load a single page. We couldn’t get any work done. When we asked the manager for assistance, she was apologetic, but didn’t take responsibility for any issues blaming them on external factors. Apparently the internet works fine for her. Not trying to resolve the issues, but comfortable charging the full amount of 150+ euro per nighy as though everything works as advertised.

Sorry for your discomfort. Although I respect the fact that you didn't like La Bella Modena, I'm asking to myself if your opinion may be right.I really don't know what is advertised wrong... I have do all I can to help you but you did not accept any explanation. It is very hard to help somebody in this way.I've checked the internet speed by a speed test and showed you, is not in my opinion ..(100 Mbps fiber...) If your devices are slow, that's not dependent on us...I've also shown you also how to open the window in the room in a special way, to let the breathe the room while bugs and mosquitoes cannot enter... I provide you with mosquito repellent.About the air condition temperature, sorry if we respect the law. Clime to Europe or the Italian government. And 24 degrees is not hot. I strongly don't accept your comment about the rate!150 euro is wrong! you chose the cheapest room instead of the other, the more comfortable one at euro 135, and the rate charged for your room was 125 euro .. and I guess that you've paid less than 125 because Hotels.com discounts the package travel. In spite of all marketing rules and do-good answers, I refuse to lie by proposing to rebook again to verify and enjoy our services. I'm happy if you never come back.Ungrateful, lying, and disastrous customers like you (even the way you left the rooms and common areas, every time it seemed like the passage of the ogres ...) only create problems.After all, the opinion of other guests says something different and that's enough for me.Greetings

Everything about La Bella Modena was exactly what I was hoping for. Clean, smart, quiet, trouble-free, just beautiful!

Modern Modena

A clean, modern, fully updated property. It was a real pleasure to stay here. The signage is very discreet so it would have been helpful to advise guests that the property is on the corner of Via del Pozzo and Via Carbonieri. Parking was not a problem. I recommend a stay here.

This is a different style of lodging. Aside from checking in with a live person (who was very nice), there is no one on the property. Everything is done by code and keycard. They had a nice coffee room but no breakfast. There weren’t a lot of cafes or restaurants within walking distance. Aside from one other occupant we were the only ones in the building. That said, the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, although very small. Not a lot of room to move around.

Bad checkin and checkout times

The place is very nice, very clean and well designed but the checkin and checkout times are too late and too early respectively. It wasn't clear to me when making the reservation that it was not a hotel but that were just renting a room
