It's a budget offering so you need to set your expectations appropriately. Location was great, room was reasonable for the money. Bed was rather uncomfortable. You didn't get much in terms of shower washes. Just the one, that is supposed to be ok for washing body, hair and as a conditioner. I didn't get on with that.
Breakfast was overpriced so I skipped that.
Location near the main train station and on the edge of the old town was brilliant.
I would stay again because the general offering was perfectly fine for the price I paid. That bed though, yikes it was uncomfortable.

The ibis Nurnberg Hauptbahnhof accomplished what it needed to do. We had a convenient location to both the old city part of Nuremberg and the Christmas market, as well as the train station for day trips to multiple close by towns. The room was utilitarian... the bed was comfortable. One of us had breathing issues after using the shower, so we weren't sure if there were lingering allergens, perhaps due to various causes. The staff was a mix of very pleasant or simply direct but were responsive. All in all, the hotel accommodated our needs for the duration of our stay.

Abysmal Stay at Ibis Hotel
My recent experience at this Ibis hotel was a catastrophic failure. From the moment I checked in, I sensed a palpable disconnect between the staff and genuine hospitality.
The room was a mere afterthought, with a bathroom that seemed designed for utilitarian purposes rather than human comfort. It created an uninviting atmosphere and its compact size only exacerbated the sense of claustrophobia.
Checkout was a jarring conclusion to an already disappointing stay. Staff indifference and a lack of courtesy left a sour impression.
Critical Flaws
1. *Auditory Assault*: Inadequate soundproofing allowed external noise to ravage my sleep.
2. *Service Chasm*: Reception staff require radical overhaul to align with Ibis' customer service ideals.
3. Bathroom maintenance falls woefully short.
4. *Noise Abatement*: Upgrade window insulation or implement noise-reducing measures.

Terrible Experience
1/5 stars: Unpleasant Stay
As a frequent traveler who has stayed at numerous Ibis hotels, I was disappointed by my recent experience at this hotel in Nürnberg Hauptbahnhof. The initial impression was very bad due to the unfriendly and unprofessional reception staff. Their behavior was unacceptable and made me question their suitability for customer service.
The room was average, but the bathroom required maintenance, with dents on the door frame and dirty shower walls. Furthermore, the bathroom was incredibly small, comparable to those found in airplanes.
However, the breakfast was acceptable thanks to Maria, the friendly and hospitable staff member in the breakfast area. Her warm smile and attentive service made a positive impact.
The worst part was during checkout. The staff ignored my greeting and failed to wish me a pleasant trip. Their behavior was unprofessional and disappointing.
Suggestions for Improvement:
1. Customer service training for staff, particularly the reception team.
2. Improved cleanliness and maintenance of the bathroom.
3. Ensuring friendly and professional service at all times.
I suggest that Maria, who demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, lead training sessions for the reception staff. Her positive attitude and hospitality would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
As someone familiar with Ibis' standards, I hope this hotel takes my feedback seriously to improve their service.

The location is good and the rooms were clean. However, the description states this hotel has laundry "facilities" when in fact they only have very high priced laundry "service" which is not available on the weekends. It also states there is a bar, which is a joke. The word "bar" is painted on the wall in the lobby next to two self-serve refrigerators. The shower is barely larger than RV size. The beds don't actually have real mattresses but are more like futon cushions. I could go on. I would not recommend this hotel.

I missed to make a cup of coffee in the morning
Reception not so friendly, but hotel situated close to the markets. And it was very clean

The rooms are plainly decorated, but clean . The bathroom is tiny, the bed is comfortable. The staff is nice, but the breakfast is over priced for what it is. 5 min. Walk from train station and tour bus pickup
