I received a warm and friendly welcome after a long drive, followed-up with an excellent breakfast in the morning. I greatly appreciated the fact that ear plugs were provided in the room, because the walls are very thin and it was possible to hear pretty much everything going on in the room next door. Thankfully, the couple in there settled down at a reasonable time and I managed a decent night's sleep.

Posted 26 May 2024 on HotelsA wonderful stay! Isy and Peter have created a lovely, relaxing home away from home. There were so many small touches and going that extra miles that most B&Bs fail to do. They were so accommodating and welcoming and with such a wealth of knowledge for the local area they are not short of brilliant recommendations. I truly believe that no one needs to look any further for a hotel in Exmoor, a brilliantly cooked breakfast, comfy beds and wonderful hosts what more could you ask for! We will be recommending to anyone that travels down this way!

Best stay ever!
Posted 8 Sep 2023 on HotelsPicked this Guesthouse just because it was in the right area, had a king size bed (back problems) and was a reasonable price with good reviews.
We were blown away by the place from start to finish as it felt like everything you needed had been thought of.
We had a pot of welcome chocolates, a large array of biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a fridge with orange juice, milk and water and even biscuits, cleaning products and poobags for our dog.
The bed was huge and really comfortable, good toiletries, sanitary products, cotton buds and pads all provided.
Lovely games room with pool table, darts, etc and drinks available to buy.
Towels left at front door for muddy paws if you needed.
Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, cooked to order and our hosts were lovely.
It it on a slightly busy road but as in most villages, no real noise at night and lovely pub across the road if you wanted to eat out, village shop and abundant walks.
