In our 26 years in tourism accommodation we are often challenged to meet the needs of all our guests. Some guest’s find the introductory bed and breakfast environment wonderful and yet others have difficulty being in other peoples homes and find it difficult to relax even though our hospitality is highly value added. Some guests love the friendship and comradely of learning about others and sharing stories and the travels of their day. Those who find group sharing difficult should perhaps look to alternative tourism accommodation. Even this guest would agree and be reminded of his own words that “Bed and breakfast are not a good fit for everyone”.

The property is located on a beautiful lake, Sally and Jan made us feel very welcome, prepared a lovely breakfast for us in the morning and set us on a great path to explore the Halliburton Highlands. Our stay in the Pine Studio was lovely and we made great use of the fireplace.

Was our pleasure Giulio. We enjoyed the conversations and story telling over breakfast. Its so much fun introducing folks to the Haliburton Highlands. There is so much to do even if you have ben here time and time again. Hoping you will be among those who find us again. Let Sunny Rock B&B be your cottage with out owning the financial burden of the cottage.

Great location overlooking the rapids, with the lake accessible at the edge of the of the property to SUP. Lots of wildlife. Very quiet and a great place to relax.

Sally's friendliness and warmth was exceptional answering all of our enquiries from sights to activities and special places to visit. We were treated to a gourmet experience for breakfast and met some wonderful International guests..The energy of the natural surroundings was pure, invigorating and revitalizing ...it was wonderful and refreshing!!!

Thank you for being such gracious and wonderful guests. You really made the most of your experience while you were here. There is so much to do in the Haliburton Highlands. I wish you could have stayed longer than 2 days.

we recently stayed at Sunny rock and I have to say it was great. We booked the rom which was set apart from the main lodge and I could not have asked for more. We had both privacy and the luxury of a wonderful breakfast accompanied by a few other guests and the enjoyment of some history of the area and the lodge as well as a lot of fun just gabbing with the host Sally and the guests, lots to do and see in the area as well

Thank you so much for the incredible review. I was you could have stayed longer. 2 or 3 days is not enough to full experience the Haliburton Highlands and all its remote beauty. Until next time.
