The bed was awesome! The bathroom could have been much cleaner on the floor but not horrible - just some extra attention

A hostess/staff member was very nice and informative, after hours (5pm?). They are trying to add upgrades to a hotel that shows its age. Still a decent place to stay.

Hi Eric and thank you for choosing us and for sharing your thoughts. I am not certain what is meant by after hours/5? Our staff are here until 11 pm daily and I am live in owner so I am here during off desk hours to care of any guests needs...but yes, our staff are great, friendly and informative so I am glad to see you mention that. And yes, the building is older but there is not a part of it we have not renovated and upgraded over my 22 year tenure and we continue to do that, as is necessary. Thank you again for choosing us and for the 4 star review! It is nice to know we are exceeding guests needs!

Very worn down. Smelled like deodorizer everywhere. Was expensive for a motel w/o much for amenities (indoor pool was closed. No outdoor pool)

Hi Marie: I am sorry, but your comments are completely errant. As Owner who lives in the hotel, this is my life and I take exceptional care of our property as you will see from most 4 and 5 star reviews here and on numerous other sites. The pool is open...always: we keep a cover on it to keep chlorine and heat and moisture under control...if you ask our staff, they will roll the cover back, it takes 15 seconds...we had it opened a few times for guests today. And that deodorizer you smell, is because we had a contract with a paving crew that just left and I cleaned the carpets in the 10 rooms they occupied, so that was carpet cleaner you smelled. I am sorry you misinterpreted these items and if you asked our staff (or are still here) we would be more than happy to accomplish anything for you.
