I asked for an early check in the day prior after inquiring about entry instructions as I was supposed to receive those 3 days prior to the trip (I had done their verification requirements when I originally booked) and then they made me do it again then sent me the instructions. They also said they would provide me with an answer about checking in early the evening prior which they didn’t do. The staff was great once we arrived but it was such a hassle prior to that. Also I was charged the full 46$ for the 12:30-1:00pm check in when we went in at 1:30. I don’t know if I would book with this company again…

This is a bare bones hotel. They don’t offer housekeeping throughout your stay. The room was nice and spacious. But we had to go to the front desk to ask for new towels, more coffee, etc. I think you can find something at the same price range that offers a typical hotel experience that provides regular housekeeping.

Skip this place. The photos oversell the property. I was in a room in which I could hear the guests in the room next to me perfectly clearly, including every word they spoke, when they used the bathroom, etc. I complained to the hotel, and they said that it is noted in the hotel listing that they can not guarantee you won't hear other guests and that they offer sound machines and earplugs. It is absurd that this is their way of telling you that you will not have any privacy in your room. There are a ton of other hotels in the area to stay in.

Sonder The Abbey is incredibly convenient to the Miami Beach Convention Center; a leisurely 10 min walk (maximum). The rooms are well appointed and the staff were exceptional. I also love the character of this and the surrounding buildings. Would definitely look at Sonder The Abbey the next time I'm in the area.

The hotel was very clean and very accessible to the different restaurants. The area is safe and love how close to the beach. The staff were really helpful and went out their way giving directions when needed.

Lost our reservation. Stuck us in a room with 2 double beds. Elevator didn’t work, lugged 90 pounds up 3 flights of stairs. AC didn’t go below 75. Tried to kick us out the next day to clean room we were in while our actual room was being prepared. Asked for time frame and couldn’t give us one. After arguing with the lady, she allowed us to stay in our room until we were ready. 3 hours later room still wasn’t ready. Waited 30 minutes in lobby. Told us the elevator was working, it was not and had to pull luggage up 3 flights again. No worker offered help. New room still wouldn’t go below 75, fridge was warm, shampoo/ conditioner empty and broken. Asked them to fix ac, said they did. Still didn’t work. Offered us another room and then said room was unavailable. Finally offered a fan which did help. My only regret and worst part of the trip was this hotel. I would never recommend to anyone. Extremely stressful.

Reservation was lost. Gave us a room with 2 double beds, AC wouldn’t go below 75. Tried to kick us out the next day to clean the room we were in and that our room we were suppose to have was being cleaned. We asked how long until our room was ready, she couldn’t give us a time frame. We said no, we’re not leaving right now. 3 hours later, room still wasn’t ready. Packed up and went to lobby to wait another 30 minutes. Got to our room and ac still wouldn’t go below 75. Shower doesn’t get hot. No shampoo or conditioner in shower bottles. Also broken, took pictures. Fridge wasn’t cold. Elevator didn’t work the entire time. Told front desk the ac didn’t work, told us they fixed it. Still 75. Offered us another room, then said room was unavailable. Finally offered a fan which did help. Had to lug 90 pound luggage up and down stairs three times. The hotel was my only regret and worst part of the trip.

Scummy guy at check-in tired to scam me into paying a 2nd time. Failed to mention the parking garage doesn’t allow motorcycles. Too many blinking lights in the room. Couldn’t black it out. No coffee bar in the morning. Bed was super comfy but not returning.

Loved this hotel! It was small and simple but cute! Right on the beach and super affordable! Only thing is they didn’t have any tv channels Or apps so you literally have to plug up your phone or laptop.
