worst staff, terrible service, big scam, be careful they will charge you more than agreed on during the booking.
ended up leaving to find different accommodation.

Our hotel policy, we have a 2 adult (and 2 children) per room policy, and your booking was confirmed with 2 Adults but you came with 3 adults at the time of check in. That being said, you mentioned you were not aware of this policy when arriving to the hotel and were upset when the front desk observed this issue. We tried to work with you as best as we could while still following hotel policies. We offered you a couple of different options to allow the 3rd adult to stay in the same room, but you were inflexible. We respected your choice to find other accommodation. We wish you a great stay in the Bal Harbour area.

Staff was great and facilities were nice . Didn’t like that they placed a 500 dollar charge/hold on my card without telling me.

I recently stayed at the Sea View Hotel in Bal Harbour, and while the location is fantastic, the property itself is quite dated. Opened in 1948, it certainly shows its age, which can detract from the overall experience.
My first room was a standard setup, featuring a bed, TV, and bathroom. While the air conditioning and heating worked fine, I encountered a significant issue with the shower—it had very low pressure, making it nearly impossible to take a proper shower. I reported this to the front desk, and maintenance promptly came to take a look. They provided a temporary fix, but it quickly became clear that it wouldn’t hold. To avoid further disruptions to my vacation, I requested a room change.
The second room was an improvement in functionality, though it had a bit of a musty smell. Thankfully, there were no further issues, which allowed me to relax a bit more during my stay.
Another downside was my experience at the bar. They seemed to lack a decent selection of standard beers, including Corona. I ended up settling for a Corona Light, but when I finished the bottle, I noticed it was expired by six months. I brought this to the bartender's attention, but to my surprise, he didn’t remove the other ten expired beers from the shelf. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing.
Overall, while the Sea View Hotel has a prime location and some nostalgic charm, it definitely needs updates and better management. Given my experience, I would recommend staying at a differ

Though our guest rooms go through annual upgrades, many of the public areas throughout our hotel resemble just as they did 75 years ago! We want to apologize for the water pressure issue you experienced but glad we were able to resolve that promptly for you. Regarding your issue with the bar. Please note that we regularly rotate our inventory and have processes in place so that the experience you had, doesn’t happen. We apparently missed one of those bottles and for that we apologize. We appreciate you speaking up and informing management so that we could confirm that we had not overlooked any other bottle. My sister and I stayed at the Sea View Hotel, Bal Harbour the second week of September 2024. It is an elegant beautiful resort hotel located at the northern tip of Miami Beach. Our room was comfortable, clean and very spacious. The service at the hotel, restaurant, pool and beach were outstanding. Amenities were great and the beach, well… incredible.
Because this is a resort hotel the pool and beach have towels, chairs and umbrella service.
We didn’t visit the gym, but the trails by the beach are just perfect. In case you didn’t know, there is a beautifully landscaped 2 mile ribbon shape trail called “scenic path” between the beach and the hotels with several sculptures to admire along the way while you walk, run or bike.
This is the perfect location for enjoying a summer vacation with everything you need at the hotel and surrounding areas. We had a blast!!!

Great location on the ocean. Our room was bay facing, but still had a view of the ocean. Very clean, and comfortable hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
