Very nice art deco boutique hotel; rooms are lovely with beautiful bathrooms and several (like mine) have balconies. busy and crowded part of south beach but hotel is an oasis of quiet. only down part is having to carry beach chairs/no beach services etc. restaurants attached to hotel are surprisingly good and the staff are very sweet!

I was deceived by the pictures online, as to what was the actual reality. The rooms are in need of a deep cleaning. I found numerous places throughout my room that had not been cleaned in sometime. Also, the amount of hair found everywhere inside the room is disgusting. The housekeepers need on the job training to ensure they have the tools to perform their job effectively, and to help create a home like environment for travelers. Speaking of the housekeeping team, whenever they go in and out of a room, the door slams loudly and can be heard clearly. This goes on the entire time they are on your floor. They must have a latch or deadbolt on, and it keeps slamming against the door. In addition, there seemed to be two housekeepers on my floor when cleaning, and they talk the entire time. Keep in mind, housekeeping is from 9:30-4:00, if I'm not mistaken. The gym is old and run down. They sell the pictures very well online. One corner of the gym has a bunch of nuts and bolts stored there. Why, I don't know. One of the tv's is frozen. There were no towels for use when i went. It appears both Maintenance and housekeeping haven't been to the gym to give it a once over in a while. The bell people seemed to be staring at you more than helping you, which left a bad impression. I would expect a bell person to be polite, cheerful and willing to help guests. Also, a simple 'Hello' goes a long way. I would not stay here again. 3/10 at best.

Staff was very helpful and service oriented. Room was clean and in good order. Location was great. Some noise from road below and late nite guest at pool area. Was a nice stay.

Hotel Victor is in a perfect location on Ocean drive; not in the middle of all the excitement and noise but in easy walking distance to it. The pool is on the second floor and has a very relaxed atmosphere. It overlooks Ocean Drive so you can people watch and see South Beach in the distance. Service really stands out. Every staff member was pleasant, polite, and helpful. Two members especially jumped out. Laura at the front desk is incredible. She helped us every evening on advice where to go based on our preferences with every piece of advice being helpful. More importantly she is extremely enthusiastic, friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. Hermann works the lobby and is also great. He is extremely professional and polite with a contagious smile. He helped us with luggage, beach chairs, beach towels, doors when our hands were full. A pleasure to see at the beginning and end of each day.
