We only stayed for one night and didn't really explore the area, but the neighbourhood is quite sparse, had a very industrial feel and I didn't notice many shops or restaurants within walking distance. The property itself is charming, clean, but it's definitely showing its age and lacks an elevator. The staff was fine, not overly friendly, nor rude and the room was sufficient and clean.

Thank you for leaving us a review Jeremy. There are in fact numerous restaurants near our hotel as we are located in the business district of Coral Gables. If you are ever in the area again you will find that there is a Target supermarket as well as a peruvian restaurant not far from us.

Pleasant stay in a great area. Room was a good size and clean. Remember that you are staying in a 1920’s hotel and enjoy the charm. Enjoyed a nice walk after dinner and very close for our needs.

Place was pretty nice especially with the price. Only drawback is that you'll have to take stairs so if you don't carry light, it's quite a pain.
