We were disappointed upon arrival to learn that the onsite restaurant was closed. Our stay was at the end of the season but we were unaware of the closure. This was the only problem with our stay. At first WiFi to our room did not connect but manager/owner worked diligently and successfully got it working! The “old farm” architecture was just as we had pictured and the view of the surrounding countryside was beautiful and soothing. We enjoyed a glass of wine sitting on the large deck overlooking the infinity pool and out into the countryside on our first evening. Breakfast was above average with fresh squeezed OJ and perfect hard boiled eggs. Clean, quiet and comfortable best describes our enjoyable stay.

What a quaint and relaxing place to stay. We booked this hotel last minute when our previous plans changed and were very happy with our choice! The small hotel is in a farming community, with wonderful views from the infinity pool. The owner Arnaud is an incredible chef as well and we had an amazing dinner and breakfast. The room was comfortable, although the decor was a little dated. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat…this is your place!

Our 1 night stay was perfect. The hosts were great as was the food. I’m looking forward to staying again and exploring even more of the region.

Characterful hotel in lovely countryside
Posted 12 Jul 2018 on HotelsHôtel de La Ferme de Lamy is a lovely ‘get away from it all’ hotel. The property is well maintained and the rooms are well looked after (although ours looked a little old fashioned, but comfortable).
We didn’t have dinner (being vegetarian in Perigord is tricky!) but the ‘continental’ breakfast served on the patio was good quality (if a little pricey).
The setting of the hotel is lovely - the rolling countryside around it makes for a quiet and peaceful stay. The infinity pool is a very pretty place to unwind.
The only negatives are the lack of air conditioning (we had very sticky, stormy weather) - even a room fan and fly-screens for the door would’ve helped - and weak WiFi.
Other than those caveats, Hôtel de la Ferme Lamy makes for a good choice to stay.

Delightful Stay in Mayrels
Posted 21 Sep 2016Fabulous hosts, great room well furnished with exposed beams and clean, well-appointed bathroom. Lovely gardens and swimming pool. This property was easy to find as there was clear signage on the road leading to it. Our host gave lots of local information and suggestions of places to visit during our stay.

Pros: Location, style and the care and attention provided by the owners.
Cons: Nothing - it's great as it is!
Location: There's a couple of restaurants in Meyrals which is just over a mile away. Then Sarlat is the biggest town in the area.
Idyllic setting, lovely facilities - a wee gem. Great views from the terrace and from the infinity pool. Owners were wonderful - Michael in particular was so helpful and informative about the local area. One minor caution.....book in advance if you want to eat there...we didn't so had to eat elsewhere. However this again was made even easier by Michael who booked/arranged everything for us.

Pleasant stay in beautiful French countryside
Posted 26 Jul 2015 on HotelsVery relaxing and enjoyable stay. Beautiful location. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was nice but simple. Pool towels provided but a bit small.
You will need transport to get to the local town.
