Pretty horrible experience. Our room was next to the elevator, and there was banging on the wall every 1-3 minutes from 5am through 1am that sounded like a bowling alley.
The hotel was full so we couldn't be transferred to another room. This meant we did not get sleep for 3 nights and our trip was essentially ruined, as we walked around the city like zombies.
When I called the front desk to inquire, the staff member was very rude and told me to write down the feedback on the noise for them ... when I spoke with the General Manager, Nohemi, she addressed the noise and clarified that they were aware the elevator is making disturbing noise. She suggested that the technicians weren't able to come to the building for several days to fix it.
I'm not entirely certain that the noise could be fixed, and suspect that they are aware certain rooms experience this noise but they are prepared to respond to complaints as they occur. If the elevator was making a noise like this due to issues, they should have shut the elevator down but the elevator continued to operate throughout the stay.
Beyond the elevator issues, the rooftop staff was frankly abhorrent. We visited the rooftop twice during peak hours, and it was empty. The staff was sitting around in banquets with their noses in their phones and didn't even lift their heads to acknowledge or greet us. We walked around the entire space hoping to get some attention, yet no one made the slightest effort to tend to our needs. DO STAY HERE
