I love Metung
Posted 17 Jul 2016 on HotelsThis is the second time we have stayed at Bancroft apartments. We love it. Great location, with the best view. It's got everything you need, except WIFI.
It's clean and comfortable; my only criticism is some of the cooking equipment needs to be updated eg, the fry pan.

Great position and outlook

Pros: Not a hotel but an apartment, large bedrooms and plenty of living space and outside deck.
Cons: The only thing I can think of is king sized beds rather than queen sized. However, bed was very comfortable.
Location: Boating, fishing, relaxing, meals at the local pub were very good.
Great position in Metung, park your boat out front and car out the back and walk to shops, pub, restaurants. The meals at the Metung pub are terrific. The apartment is right on Bancroft Bay, facing East so the cooler Westerly breeze is not a problem. Staff at the motel where you pick up the key (particularly Tara) very friendly and helpful. The apartment, no. 3, suited us as 2 couples, plenty of room.

Pros: The view from this room is AMAZING! All round. The balcony, the roof, the front door the bedroom.
Cons: The room wasn't up to the standard of cleanliness for the price that you pay. I was expecting the cleanliness of Crown Towers. Nope!!

The bed is a bit uncomfortable too. And the TV is 10 years old and emits these loud screetching noises! Very annoying considering the price you pay!
