"I wanted to thank those who worked here, especially the lady who spoke English at the front desk. We were very out of our comfort zone. My mother had just come out of 7 days in an Italian hospital with no English. The cleaning ladies help us feel very welcome. They are super lovely towards us. "Very poor experience very dated hotel no customer service whatsoever breakfast was very basic indeed "

"Front desk was helpful-we were sent to the wrong place for breakfast-didn't have internet service after 8pm-check out took over an hour. I booked with hhotel.com but the hotel said I had to pay them which has never happened to me-without internet it took an hour to run charges-there were little black bugs in our bed which made you itch and left red marks-we were able to shack the sheets which helped. I would not stay there or recommend any travelers, because of the experience I had."

"Scenic location on hills overlooking Strait of Messina. House is spacious, artistic interiors reminded me of English novels. Rita, the owner, was gracious and readily available. The only downside was the out of the way location with hardly any shops or restaurants in the vicinity. We ordered in pizza. "

"Once checked in a good stay. Comfortable room and good location. Problem with check in was that I was expected to do it remotely, sending a copy of my passport by WhatsApp, which I declined to do. The person I had been speaking to then contacted his boss who then came round, checked me in properly and was friendly and helpful."

"Ther was mold in the soap dish, dirt or food on the walls, peeling wall paper, over powering/sickening cherry deodorant attempting to cover up cigarette smoke smell and it was dark with barking dogs and crying babies. You get what you pay for. Luckily it was close to good shopping, a street fest and walkable to historic sites and train stations. "
