Beautiful, historic building. My room was frugal, but equipped with all my needs. The staff was very caring, yet laid back enough to let you enjoy the experience at your own pace and pleasure.

You could park outside and they had limited private parking places for a fee.

Quite cheap, but basic - okay for a night's stay
Posted 2 Mar 2024 on HotelsThis is a budget hotel - cheaper than most of the competition. You get what you pay for. The room and facilities were in good condition, but rather basic; and the room was quite small.
Secure below-ground parking was useful. I wouldn't bother with the breakfast (served in the room).
Location okay, near a supermarket and a few restaurants, though very much in the suburbs.
All in all, good for an overnight at reasonable cost, but not a longer stay.

Poor Communication
Posted 2 May 2015 on HotelsBooked and had receipt from Hotels.com. Arrived after 8 hour drive weary and with dog. No room booked. Got out laptop and showed booking confirmation to clerk. Still no help. Thank goodness for google translate. Eventually given a room for us and dog, though missed out on breakfast as we were not told to order the night before. On return rang Hotels.com who called it a technical hitch but not really bothered. Glad we had no children as well! Will think twice about using Hotels.com again for booking

Pros: The staff and easy street parking
Location: Wonderful Roman remains, especially the Roman theatre.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds creaky and hard. Bathroom clean but had to ask for loo paper. Dog-friendly but dog not to be left unattended in your room at any time. Continental breakfast - quality and size OK - is brought to your room. But not a place to stay for more than one night if comfort is important to you.
