Wonderful small hotel in Merano!!
Posted 2 Oct 2011Hotel Aster is a delightful small hotel in Merano. Set in a residential neighborhood, it is a short walk to the city. Rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. The level of service from Gabriela and Luigi and their staff is simply outstanding. From relaxing at the pool drinking cappuccinos to dining in the hotel or elsewhere, or sorting out the myriad of activities in Merano, they provided a level of service that we had not seen in many places!!!
We can't wait to return for another stay!

Lovely hotel in a beautiful locale
Posted 15 Oct 2009We'd go back to the Hotel Aster in a minute! A beautifully-decorated and comfortable room, sparkling clean, and with many thoughtful appointments: wineglasses and a corkscrew (buy local and sip on the balcony!); comfy seating area and dish of candies; luxury linens and the best bed of our trip; coffee/tea setup. The hotel, which seems family-run, has a simple elegence and is in a swanky residential neighborhood just a short walk from the city center (at least by European vs. lazybones standards). Breakfast was scrumptious, the service friendly and professional. This was the best hotel of our two-week trip, at a wonderful price.

Es hat ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer gefehlt, zumal es nur Frühstück gab.

Beautiful room and nice little balcony. No air conditioning so the room was pretty warm. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Sound proofing could have been better, you could hear other guest pretty well when they entered their rooms. Walking distance to center.
