Great town and limited hotel options
Posted 31 Dec 2019 on HotelsThe apartment was large and had lots of space. Beds were very uncomfortable and we were unable to rest. Best part was the closeness to the ski mountain and going sledding. The town was super cute!

Lovely apartment - spacious, super facilities

Pros: Staff; facilities; spaciousness; quiet; pool & gardens; location; tidiness; parking; location; efficiency.
Cons: Minor things. Cleaning of room only at the end. Kitchenette no supplies (washup liquid e.g.). Bar closes at 2000 - we'd have used if open until 2200.
Location: Merano area wonderful. Buzzy but not busy; classy but welcoming; inexpensive but excellent restaurants/cafes (surprisingly so). Lots to do. Beautiful.
Lovely staff, warm, welcoming, helpful, friendly, (English speaking - excellent). Spacious rooms, well-appointed, super bathroom (nice glass-sided shower cubicle with double head.) Comfortable. 16m pool (clean, never too busy, well-maintained). Nice gardens. Outside jacuzzi. Wonderful. Breakfasts looked good (tho we preferred to go into town). The Merano area is beautiful with lots to do (cable cars, gardens, castles, walks, huge numbers of restaurants and cafes, all reliably good and not expensive). Loved it all.

The bar closed at 20.30 and if you want to sit longer, no problem because you have your own key for go in later. Or at the corner near us you find also a nice bar for a late drink. Lovely apartment run by friendly hosts
Posted 11 Jun 2012 on HotelsThe apartment had everything except air conditioning, which could be a problem on hot nights. Our apartment overlooked the gardens, swimming pool and mountains. We were given a card which gave free bus and train travel, free entry to many museums and free travel on some of the many cable cars in the area ... an amazing bonus. There were also bikes for the use of guests for free. This is a lovely area with loads to do for couples and families. And it is a place that is visited by very few British. It is in Italy but German is the main language due to being Austrian pre 1918.

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Ruhig in einer Seitenstraße gelegen, aber trotzdem zu Fuß oder über den nahen Bus in wenigen Minuten gut mit dem Stadtzentrum verbunden. Generell könnte die Anlage mal eine Renovierung vertragen. Viele Einrichtungsgegenstände in unserem Appartement stammten aus den 1980er Jahren. Der Empfang und auch der Service war sehr freundlich. Den Preis für das angebotene Frühstück (ca. 28 Euro pro Erwachsener und 17 Euro pro Kind) haben wir mit Blick auf das doch recht überschaubare Angebot eindeutig als zu hoch empfunden und haben uns dann doch lieber für ein Frühstück im Appartement entschieden.

Ældre, men pænt hotel med uovertruffen service

Bellissimo esteticamente, con piscina, idromassaggio all'aperto, giardino curatissimo e tantissimi angolini con sdraio e lettini per rilassarsi. Camere ampie e pulitissime e parcheggio interno. Ma il vero apice si raggiunge con la splendida Gitti che gestisce la struttura: sempre solare, sorridente e disponibile è la vera incarnazione vivente dello ZEA CURTIS.
