Lovely property excellent hosts with a vast of information. Joining rooms though so be mindful if only booking one. Log burner was lovely and made our evening

When a guest books I send an email confirming and stating that booking-in time is between 4 and 7, to advise approximate arrival time nearer the date and to contact me if they have any questions. As I had not heard from the guests before the day I presumed they would arrive between 4 and 7. When I had not heard from them, at 7.30 on the day, I rang the number I was given, left a message on the answer phone and sent a text as I was worried that they had had a problem. I waited up until midnight but received no communication. The guests say they came but no one was in. We have two doors with working door bells and a door with a large heavy door knocker, I was expecting them and waiting. I am not sure what else I could have done when there had been no communication.

Great stay

We stayed 2 nights surrounding a friend’s wedding at The Cow Shed.
We had a couple of questions before our stay and Fran was very prompt in responding to these messages.
It was easy enough to find with parking right outside.
The place was lovely. I personally don’t think the photos do it justice. It was a good sized space and we didn’t expect to have a kitchen and we had our own little outside space with chairs. Fran had filled our fridge with juice, drink and milk as well as fruit and cake. There was cereal available in the cupboard which would have been useful to know before, because we had brought breakfast with us. But it was really good to have the option there.
Fran was on hand throughout our stay if we needed her and she had useful information and recommendations about the best places to get breakfast and local taxis.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Old Stables and would definitely recommend!

We took both properties for 2 couples which worked very well with the kitchen in the middle. We appreciated the extra touches; cake and strawberries and various breakfast items we had not expected.
Lovely garden to sit out in for a cuppa.
The host was charming and helpful. We would recommend the Old Stables.
