Stayed 2 nights at the Gatehouse Cottage. Overall a lovely place to stay. Loved the open fire, the spa bath and the free breakfast. However we had no wifi during our stay. We contacted reception several times regarding this and they were quite helpful and did try to fix the problem but without success. We also thought that the cottage was very open to the road, no fencing around it, meaning anyone could just walk up to the back door. We heard weird noises at around 1am on the first night, so just felt a little unsafe. We also would have liked if there were curtains/blinds in the kitchen and at the front door

Brilliant cottage, homely and cosy.
Posted 12 Mar 2018Although the gatehouse cottage is little, its is so cosy. That century old feel with a mix of modern technology and building creates an amazing feel. Recommend going in winter as there is no aircon but plenty of heating facilities. Lovely spa!!

Character cottage
Posted 31 Jan 2018 on WotifLocation first class. Somebody needs to clean it, loads of cobwebs. Brochures out off date by a couple of years. No aircon for 39 degree day.

Hello Phil, thank you for taking time to make a review.
We do not offer airconditioning at any of the Moulton Park Cottages yet. This is an owner decision which is very difficult in summer for our guests. Maybe next time.
We will attend to the issues you raised with our staff and we hope you will return to stay, perhaps in winter which we are well prepared for!
Best wishes, Peta

Perfect getaway

Pros: Loved the spa and the open fireplace. There was a delicious decanter of port and other treats provided. And the bed was super comfortable.
Location: Beautiful quiet location set among pretty gardens.
This was the perfect place for a romantic, relaxing getaway without the ankle biter. We look forward to spending many more wedding anniversaries here.

A wonderful cottage retreat
Posted 10 Jun 2017 on HotelsIt was truly the perfect cottage for a wonderfully relaxing weekend away. Cosy feel and still with plenty of space - it has a full kitchen, even a dining room and an awesome open fire! Location is peaceful and still close to everywhere. Plus the little extra touches to the cottage topped it off perfectly - breakfast box, chocolates by the bedside, fluffy towels and heated towel rails. Would definitely recommend a visit...

Quiet and Relaxing Getaway
Posted 2 Feb 2016 on WotifGreat getaway from the city but not actually a long drive from Melbourne. It is quite secluded and peaceful. The gardens are well kept and make for a beautiful view to enjoy.
