Very convenient if you’re attending a show at the Palais. Bed good, room clean, great shower! Large, comfy communal lounge area. Small annoyance - air conditioner and fridge a bit noisy. Close to lots of cafes and restaurants. Short walk to Acland St.

Stay was excellent. But i would seriously consider upgrading front of building with coat of paint. Entrance carpet dirty, hall carpet dirty. I am involved in refurbishing properties so i am aware how important visual affects are. Costs involved far out way the benefits of a cosmetic overhaul. Regards

Convenient for going to concerts at the Palais theatre. Studio room had everything we needed. Quiet even with windows open. Nice to be able to open them. Bath/shower could do with a good scrub, but otherwise clean.

Great Location/No great bond debited to credit car
Nice room, excellent location the only criticism is they debit the bond from your credit card. We are a middle aged couple who have travelled throughout Europe and very few hotels there ask for a credit card if you have prepaid the room. I consider us to be low risk here's hoping I am promptly recredited the $250

I actually really enjoyed the place. It was a convenient 3 min walk from the tram station that can take you directly to the city in about 30 mins or so. St Kilda Beach is also walkable from the hotel so that's great. The room and bathroom was also very clean so it was comfortable. Hot water was also abundant so had no complaints there. The sink was small but that's only a minor item. The only issue was that any noise from the streets can be heard quite easily and some nights up to 2am. This noise mainly came from people talking loudly and walking back from the bars nearby. Also the trams crossing the tracks can be heard especially in the early morning before 7am. Otherwise overall a very good stay and enjoyed my time there.
