Lovely Hotel

Really lovely hotel in a perfect location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was quite a warm room at night.

Church bells next door at 7.00am might be a dealbreaker for some but we had set our alarm for 7.00am so it wasn’t a problem. Parking is 300m away in a fenced lot and the hotel has no restaurant - but those were the only negatives we found. Breakfast was fine, there’s an elevator and the staff were helpful so that’s all we need.

Fabulous little village

Pros: Location, quaintness.
Location: Located in Meissen, there is a gorgeous castle a 10 minute walk away, Meissen ceramics - too many things to mention (look up Meissen :) )
This is a lovely little hotel. We visited late November 2013 and unfortunately the street that the hotel is located in was closed due to work on the 13th Century church immediately across the street, add to this the Christmas markets blocking off several other winding one way cobbled streets, drizzling rain and the fact that it was dark and you have an interesting dilemma for your GPS (every single way it took us we had to divert). We got there though and it was lovely! Friendly (english speaking) staff on the front counter, lovely room which was quite large and a central location in a beautiful town. Parking was a little way down the street, though if the road had not been closed outside we would have been able to drop our bags at the front door before we took the car to the carpark. All in all a very pleasant stay - would definitely recommend.

Die Glocke in der Kirche läutet viel zu oft, Abend und morgen. Sonst ist alles mittelmäßig.
