The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this resort.

Posted 22 Mar 2021 on HotelsMy wife and I took a trip out to celebrate our anniversary and this was perfect. So secluded and in the middle of no where witch sometimes we all want. We absolutely loved it and will be back. The homemade dinner and breakfast is amazing and the hospitality is 5 star!!! Highly recommend for any couples trying to get away from the city life.

One of the most beautiful places I've stayed in the Texas Hill County...plus incredibly nice owners and staff. Plus, Kinky Friedman hangs out there on the reg. The only thing I would improve upon is the dinner, though I'm an admitted food snob.
