Excellent except for the check in experience- the manager is not willing to help even she knows how to do it. For Colombian there is a tax law but it is easy to change reservation to your husband if he is foreigner and not pay that tax. Orbitz is the best changed my reservation and I could avoid the tax that is a lot considering the price of a night. At the end she lead me not sure why she didn’t it at first and avoid the bad experience.

At first, it was a communication error when we told you that we cannot do it directly from our extranet since we do not know the agency through which you made your reservation. If we did not want to help you, we would not have given you the solution.As we indicate on our page, all Colombian citizens must pay the VAT required by the government. Honestly the best place you can stay in Medellín. It’s quiet even though it’s right in el Poblado, is walking distance to everything (1 min away from el cielo and 5 mins walk from alambique). The staff here is also very helpful and are around 24/7. Safety is not an issue due to the staff being at the door at all times. The room I had was very spacious and did not feel like a regular hotel room. Cleanliness at the hotel was also great. Overrall my stay was a 10/10 and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Tuvimos problemas al momento del check in, ya que insistía en cobrar los impuestos a pesar de ser extranjeros, finalmente su jefa le indicó que no los cobrara. El lugar era terriblemente ruidoso, solicitamos que nos cambiaran de piso, no obstante, no lo hicieron, fueron 3 noches escuchando los grutos de la gente

Estimada señora Francisca, lamentamos mucho los inconvenientes presentados en su ultima visita, pero por el tema de los impuestos no hay ningún problema si los hubiésemos cobrados usted puede solicitar la devolución frente a las oficinas de la DIAN, solo que nosotros como establecimiento debemos de cumplir con las reglas, el tema de la insonorización es algo en el que estamos trabajando esperamos que logremos solucionarlo pronto. Esperamos encuentre un alojamiento de su agrado para el resto de su viaje
