Nice Staff Hotel needs Upgrades

Posted 29 Nov 2016
Pros: The Staff
Cons: They need to remodel you can see the place a bit run down, the walls the bathrooms. love the animal pictures everywhere
Location: location is great, next to parquet lleras but quiet and easy
The hotel staff is great, the breakfast bar is great, the hotel however has limited parking spaces. The rooms are out dated no night stands, no digital alarm clock, no extra chair in the room. I did not like it felt I was staying in a crappy place. The staff on the other had, they were Excellent

Second Time was the Worst

Posted 6 Sep 2016 on Hotels
This was my second time staying at the Plaza Rosa, I would never stay there again. The hotel was trying to get us for "extras" since our 1st day. A friend and I booked a room with two beds, they read us the fine print that said this was just a preference. An extra $10 a night. We had a friend over for a few hours one night, they charged us an extra $40 (a lot in Colombian pesos, almost a full night's stay) and embarrassed our friend into having to show her ID. I've been to Medellín and Colombia several times now, have many friends there and understand there are issues with "pre-paid services." But local hotel staff know very well who is and who isn't "pre-paid." On top of this the Internet is horrendous. The hotel and rooms are very dim/gloomy and it needs a major upgrade. Pay a few extra $$$ and stay at Art Hotel, Dietz, LePark or elsewhere. At least until Plaza Rosa has a major renovation of both interior structure and staff.

Horrible hotel with Horrible management

Posted 27 Aug 2016
Pros: I liked nothing about this lousy hotel.
Cons: Demolish the whole building and start all over again.
As we checked in, the front desk refused to give 2 keys, even though it was 2 people staying in one room. She very rudely said it was the hotel policy since they did not have too many key cards. Later the manager arrived who was a pure idiot and should not have been given this job. When we arrived in the room, it was stinky and smelly. The air contioner was a single unit a/c unit which was very old and made too much noise, so we could not sleep very well. The bed mattress was cheap and hard like in old hotels. The bathroom was very tiny with no fan. Not enough towels. Overall, it is the most horrible hotel I have been to. I no longer trust Expedia's star rating system and because of this experience, I will no longer use Expedia webpage in the future.

Good hotel

Posted 24 Jul 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is situated in a good neighborhood and the staff is very friendly. The only problem was the noise from the street below. Other than that, we had a fantastic time. Would recommend this hotel.

Near to good restaurants and Parque LLeras.

Posted 6 May 2016
Pros: Near to restaurant and bars
Cons: New towels and new furniture
Location: Location is OK. Good restaurants and other inexpensive places to eat
Near to good restaurants and Parque Lleras. Very old furniture and towels. Staff not that pleasant. It used to be a nice hotel. Stayed there before and enjoy the hotel. Not anymore.

Guess

Posted 4 May 2016
Pros: staff very professional
Cons: Wi-Fi Sucksssss very slow.
Location: very good location and a nice view to the Medellin City
If you have a guess that ether wants to use the bathroom or have some drinks at the room, you need to pay for them to come up there, so I believe its not right as you already paid for the hotel, the guess will not stay over night nor eat free breakfast, so why is that any guess needs to pay very ridicules.

Good location

Posted 4 Feb 2016
Rooms are clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Main desk attendants speak English. Breakfast is ok, and plentiful. However, the cleaning personnel make way too much noise outside of the rooms in the morning.
