This property did not have unique decor and it was not worth the price we paid for a night stay. We booked what we thought was a bed and breakfast, yet we were charged an additional $60 for breakfast. We did not know until check out that our stay included a wine tasting but our day was already fully booked. Providing breakfast would have been more acceptable, or a voucher to return for a wine tasting. Breakfast was good, but not excellent. It felt more like a diner spot than a special intimate breakfast with other guests because some tables were separate and some were not. The bed was not comfortable. There was a plastic cover under the sheets, and the mattress seemed to be thin. The bedding was simple and not memorable. We did not have enough towels during the duration and there was not an attendant to ask for more. Overall, we did not feel it was a special place and while the views were lovely, the other amenities were three star at most.

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay at our bed and breakfast. We value all guest reviews as they help us continually improve our services. I'm sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Our bed and breakfast features a rustic decor that reflects the charm and character of our location. While this style may only suit some people's tastes, we strive to create a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Our pricing is competitive with similar properties in the area, especially considering the high-quality sheets and bedding we use, which are comparable to those in high-end hotels.I apologize for any confusion regarding the breakfast charge. We offer breakfast as an optional add-on to provide flexibility for guests who prefer to start their day on their own terms. Additionally, I'm sorry to hear that you missed out on the wine tasting. We strive to ensure our guests understand this at check-in and provide the information in each room. We are even willing to give you a pre-pour option if you arrive after hours, which is offered when we are made aware of late check-in. We aim to offer a relaxed and enjoyable breakfast setting. Upon request, we can always move and adjust tables for guests. Regarding the bed, we regret that you found it uncomfortable. The plastic cover is intended for hygiene purposes, and we apologize if it affected your comfort. We use high-quality bedding, and we will review your feedback with our housekeeping team to ensure all our guests have a comfortable night's sleep.I apologize for the lack of towels and the unavailability of an attendant during your stay. However, we are a small B&B, and as such, we do not have 24/7 staff available. However, the information in your room does notify guests where additional towels and blankets can be found. Thank you for highlighting the lovely views and for your constructive feedback. We hope you will give us another chance to provide a more enjoyable experience. Please feel free to contact us directly if you decide to visit again, and we will ensure your stay is memorable.

Nice and quiet surroundings. Great view and that's where all good ends.
Cons: While reserving, was promised partial vineyard view (nothing close to that, view of a parking.Rooms are very outdated. Dirty and oily old furniture (had to wipe, it was all brown). All window frames are wooden and full of of scratches and some disgusting staff. Balcony with no view had a bee hives, could even been there. Holes in the walls, barely attached window screens. Horrible experience, couldn't get out of there. Made my anniversary a living hell.
Overpriced for nothing, well maybe just a view.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and we apologize if our furniture did not meet your standards. We assure you that our furniture is regularly cleaned and maintained. As a working farm, we do our best to manage yellow jackets using natural methods that do not harm our vineyard or the surrounding environment. These pests are a common issue found in vineyards throughout the valley. We regret that you did not bring these concerns to our attention during your stay, as we would have promptly addressed them to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. Your feedback is invaluable; we will use it to improve our services and facilities further. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you encountered issues during your visit. We understand how important it is for special occasions like anniversaries to be perfect, and we are sorry that your stay fell short. We hope you will consider giving us another chance to provide a more enjoyable experience.

Wine down
Posted 25 Jun 2024 on HotelsListed as “upscale B&B” - not sure what was upscale about it. Nice main house and tasting room but not upscale especially since you have to pay extra for breakfast and it doesn’t start until 9 am. No accommodations were available for guests wanting to get an earlier start on the day.

We truly appreciate your input and will take it into consideration as we continuously strive to enhance our guests’ experience. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Youngberg Hill in the future. We understand that the absence of a TV in the room may be unique to our Bed and Breakfast. Our goal is to provide a peaceful and relaxing environment where guests can fully unwind and connect with the natural beauty of our vineyard and relax. We do have two cozy common areas with TVs available for guests who wish to catch up on their favorite shows or enjoy some entertainment.
