Great property, a pre-Civil War mansion of a working farm. Tons of character, even a small museum in the basement. The area is beautiful, the property well kept, and the room we had was excellent. The best of all was the young couple that manages the property. Nice young people, great hosts. They made us feel welcome. And the breakfast was really great. Would we stay again? You bet! And probably will.

Fabulous historic property in a stunning setting (gorgeous sunset & sunrise with the backdrop of the mountains). 5th generation owners who have honoured their family history in the decor.
Jordan & Kyle were very welcoming & helpful. Jordan catered for an allergy at breakfast. Homemade waffles, eggs & bacon were perfect.
We wish we could have altered our plans to add another night just to enjoy the property.
Highly recommend.

My husband and I loved our one night stay at the Cave Hill Farm. We received a warm welcome by our host Jordan who gave us a lovely tour of the house and told us about its unique history. The house and the common areas are beautiful. We were in the Gold room, which was spacious, clean, comfortable and had lovely views of the farmlands and mountains. We got an excellent night's sleep. Breakfast was homemade pancakes, bacon, eggs, and fruit. It was delicious. They took special care to mind everyone's dietary concerns and provide alternatives. Other times of the day, you could find tea or coffee, and snacks in the dining area and they also had a communal fridge and filtered water. There are plenty of games available too. We had fun playing Scrabble in the evening. The location is perfect for visiting Skyline Drive or visiting any of the local caverns. Cave Hill Farm also has a sister brewery just a short drive or walk away. We took advantage of that as we arrived on a rainy/foggy night and didn't want to stray too far on the winding country roads. They had a variety of beers and sandwiches, wings, burger type options for dinner. There was also a band and a museum of old farm equipment. We'd highly recommend Cave Hill to anyone in search of a serene home base for visiting the Shenandoah area.

This is a delightfully quiet B&B located in farm country. It's close to restaurants in the local community and is only 25 minutes from even more in Harrisonburg.
The hosts are wonderful and the breakfast was sumptuous. The room was exceptionally comfortable.
We will definitely return!

Cave Hill is a beautiful house, very inviting, hosted by a lovely couple. We sat on a swing in the yard, under the trees. Lots of history to the home and couple who live there. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. We will be going back.
