"We were welcomed in such a friendly manner by the hotel owner and his family. The hotel is in a lovely natural setting. We stayed in a deluxe room which would probably equate to a basic room in England. There were other more luxurious rooms if you wanted to spend more but the main thing for us was how friendly and helpful everyone was. The meals were delicious and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this place, whatever quality of room you require."

"Had trouble at first with staff saying booking didnt go through so had to contact hotels via X to sort out. The one staff was a great guy, so freindly and helpful, i was in the area to visit national park and he arranged this for me. Only problem with hotel is internet did not work, and no phone reception in that area either. "

"This place has an awesome pool and good, clean rooms. The location is a short tuk tuk ride from Main St. but otherwise close to... not much. Not that there's much to be close to in Tissa. This hotel is a great base for safaris since you have a sweet pool to go back to after or before. The hotel restaurant is generally very good, so eat here. "The property is lush and beautiful. The pool is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. The food isn’t the best. Part of traveling is experiencing local cuisine and they are clearly trying to take care of western tourists. Totally fine - you can feel they to this to accommodate us. They are very clearly so service oriented! "

"basic guesthouse with 5 rooms and a communal room. bed was alright and came with clean bathroom. recommended to pay extra for the air con (which didn’t seem available as an option during booking) as it was really hot when we visited and the room was stuffy after awhile. "Cabanas located in trees - you are literally sleeping outside. Different experience, but nice. Be aware that animals may enter, and the river is very close by, so maybe not so good for people who needs complete silence to sleep. Staff very helpful and nice!"
