A great hostel in Dōgo

Comfortable stay in great location, friendly owner
Posted 2 Dec 2023 on HotelsThe owner is so friendly and helpful. The lobby area with dining and kitchen resources feels very cozy and comfortable. The location is extremely convenient, just a short couple minute walk from the famous Dogo Onsen, and there is also plenty of nice shops nearby - a beautiful to explore beyond that neighborhood as well.

The staff was amazing, it was a well run guest house, and super close to Dogo Onsen. Would recommend in a heartbeat! Staff has great English too!

Great place! The hostel is taken care of with love and it shows. Clean and comfortable. Great reception and great location. Had a real nice feeling to it. No problems at all. They will take great care of you and give all the help you need. Recommended for sure.

Recommend to low budget solo travelers
Posted 28 Aug 2018 on HotelsIt was simple and easy. All very well managed, and it was what I expected. Nice and very helpful staff, small but functional shower and bed. Just a minute away from the tourist area so far from the noise yet convenient.

The cheapest place in town

Pros: Close to tram station and town.
Cons: Stop turning off ac at 10pm, gets too hot. The boards in capsule could be smoother. When you lie back on it or touch it to move you get splinters.
Location: Near the oldest bath house in Japan. Near shops and the tram station.
My first time in a capsule. Not how I expected it to be. Definitely more privacy with curtains but it doesn't stop the snoring. Life of living in a dormitory. The owner was very helpful and kind. Access to fridge and kitchen was great.

Please note that The air-con is operating all the time during the night in Summer. We even prepare the extra blanket in case anyone feel it's too cold. but thanks for sharing your experience it got too hot in the capsule.

Very close to Dogo Onsen
