What a fantastic & unique stay! I loved the idea of being able to stay in surroundings that make this town so
The staff are exceptionally friendly & took plenty of time to explain the area & give recommendations which were exceptional! The location is fantastic! A close walk to the old town but also close enough to the outskirts that make parking easy. Great stay! Can’t recommend this place enough!

An unbelievable experience and Francesco was the best host--he took the time to show us the places to go and had restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was lovely and our room was so fun!

Your perfect hotel in Matera!!!!
Posted 11 Nov 2023 on HotelsJust perfect spot to stay- you are perfectly located- can drop yr luggage from your car 20 yards away and Francesco is super helpful to get it to your room.
Parking for the car is 3 blocks away in a super safe place.
Then you check into this amazing room in a cave that is subtle but surreal- all the conforts of today in a cave!!
Steps away from the best areas in this 9000 years old city!!!
Just an amazing small hotel, great tips to go for dinner (la loppa) and all around perfect Matera experience.

Unique location and design - inside the limestone cliff walls and former cistern of Matera. Amazingly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful owners. I'd stay here again in heartbeat - and we definitely will return to Matera!

Great location in Sassi. Very Clean and the breakfast was great. Also the charming women who is the owner was very informative, pleasant and charming!

Great location,hard working young owners who went over board to give you great assistance.The hotel room was new and I recommend this cave room to any guest..The position of the hotel is perfect ,close to restaurants and the main square and walking old town.
There was no negatives 👌
