The hosts Dani and Felix were great hosts and really helped us find our feet on our first visit to Cuba. The accommodation was in a renovated old building and was very authentic with clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in the peaceful central courtyard. Definitely recommend this place if you stay in Matanzas.

We were in a car accident on the way to Casa Manzaneda and never got there. Hpwever, the host was very caring in checking on us even after it was clear we weren’t going to make it. The host went above and beyond.

Lo mejor, el personal, en concreto Edith y su hijio! Su simpatía, su caracter y su buen hacer hacen que la casa mejore más si es posible. Si, hay algún que otro mosquito que te hace buena compañía y te recuerda que estas en Cuba rodeado de naturaleza y que la piscina de la casa tiene agua, que por cierto, es fabulosa esa piscina. La casa es espectacular, super centrica de todo, y muy bien acomodada. Sin duda, la experiencia ha sido perfecta!

Hemos estado dos noches y estuvimos muy a gusto. Las referencias que nos dió Edith fueron perfectas en todos los sentidos: que visitar, donde cenar, donde aparcar el coche, etc. Los desayunos exquisitos. Muy recomendable.

This was my second time staying at this casa particulares. Ownership or management has changed and Edith is outstanding. She is on Whatsap so response is very prompt. I am a trekker so my goal is to stay in basic and affordable accommodations but more important in proximity to the main plaza as well as places I am visiting. I travel to Matanzas via the Viazul so the cost of a taxi from the bus terminal to the property is approximately 750-1000 pesos.which translated to under $3USD. The trick is make sure you get a good exchange for your money. The property is full service as included in my price was breakfast (my request was simply coffee and fruit). Upon request Edith will make the internet available. You will receive a key to your room. As for coming/going, simply text Edith when you are about 10 minutes from the property and she/someone will be there to open the front door. The property has been recently restored so you are in for a very nice treat. Again, my preference is casa particulares and never a hotel, because I prefer to immerse myself with Cubans and enjoy the cultural exchange.

This is a really lovely casa. The host, Edith, is really friendly and helpful. There is a roof terrace and a beautiful, peaceful courtyard.
