Hotel totally unsuitable so did not stay

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Totally mislead as to the hotel facilities. Condition of the building poor, scruffy inside and weeds growing up the wall outside

Nice people - interesting town

Posted 9 Jun 2014 on Hotels
I was staying for the first time in Martigues - working with a client around 25 km away. The town is very interesting and worth visiting. From the outside the hotel Eden looks a bit shabby but room was clean and spacious enough. Jaccuzzi is a nice touch. Staff are pleasant and friendly. Breakfast buffet included muesli and yoghurt so I was happy.

Dingy hotel.

Posted 27 May 2014
Pros: Centrally located for our planned activities.
Cons: Needs a good overhaul and clean up.
Location: Relatively close to town center.
Small w/o amenities. Nice bathroom in our room. Room is small with small beds. Difficult to get to due to one way street at entrance to parking. Entrance into parking area is tricky with sharp turns. Nice and friendly personnel with varying knowledge of English. Walking distance to old town. The hotel needs a good overhaul and cleanup. Overpriced for its quality.

Awesome Staff

Posted 23 May 2014
Pros: Staff
The room was ok, clean and comfortable, perfect for our one night stay as we were passing through. The breakfast included cereal, juice, tea/coffee, fresh breads, fruit, jam, cheese, yogurt, milk and pastries. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Very happy to recommend this hotel.

Hidden Jewel

Posted 29 Sep 2013 on Hotels
This was an overnight stop after a late arrival at Marseille Marignane Airport. We had to go collect a suitcase that had been stored by the Alize Hotel on the Vielle Port in Marseille (Great Hotel) so we arrived at the Eden about 1"30 am. The night manager could not have been more helpful, even opening the bar to give us a late-night drink. The hotel is small but very well furnished. The room we had was also small but in the bathroom was a huge Jacuzzi tub! We were persuaded to have the inexpensive continental breakfast which was a nice surprise and set us up for the drive south to Perpignan the following morning. The most amazing thing about the hotel was the attitude of the staff, so refreshing after being treated like ignorant cattle by Ryanair on the flight in.We'll definitely make the Eden our staging hotel in and out of Marseille airport.
