The beds were heavily stained with an unknown reddish-brown substance and stiff as all hell. I stayed for roughly fifteen minutes before discovering both of these, asking for a refund, and leaving. The staff were very understanding and kind, however.

Old hotel, our room was smelling like cigarette (despite asking for a non-smoking room). When we arrived, the door and windows were open, maybe they were trying to ventilate the room??, but it was not safety at all! Not to mention that there was a balcony and it was super dirty, full on dead trees and construction materials.

Please know that our hotel is entirely non-smoking, and when a guest smokes in a room, we take the room out of service to properly air it out and clean it before offering it again. The open window was likely an oversight by our cleaning staff, and we are sorry for this inconvenience.As for the outdoor area, it is currently under renovation, and we regret that it affected your view. This property is relatively utilitarian, not a "comfort" hotel. It was fine for the price.

I saw the average rating of 3.5 which is generous in my mind. The hotel is on the edge of a bad neighborhood and the room was tiny with the two neds pished together to make one which i didnt want, pillows very low quality and not enoigh for comfort and finally, dirty shower curtain with mildew growing on it.

mixed bag but overall o.k. for what we were looking. start wasnt great. arrived in the morning and whilst didn't expect to be able to check in thought i would be able to leave our two small sports bags. however first hotel I've stayed in with no luggage room. thankfully we had a car so were able to leave in the boot which was not ideal but other options were to lug about with until 2pm, we arrived just after 10am, our to do a the hotel suggested and pay down the street for someone who you have no connection with to keep them. no thanks and already spent on the hotel. Other downside was i was told parking on site at €15 was possible, however there was no space and as a result i ended up having to pay €50 at q park, again not a cost i was expecting. Perhaps there would have been age 2pm at check in time but staff did not advise and one didn't want the day bars around having to go back and move the car. The hotel was grand, rooms and overall hotel it seemed very clean. bed was comfortable. located right beside Joillette metro or 20 min walk to the port so well placed to discover marsaille.
