Perfect! Beauty and tranquility.

Posted 1 May 2017
This was our second visit to Quaryati and we will definitely be returning again. A beautiful oasis of calm and tranquility, it's the perfect place to relax and recharge. The setting and beautiful grounds are complemented by the hardworking and friendly staff, and Françoise, the owner's warm welcome. They accommodated my birthday during our stay with a special breakfast, and a cake during our evening meal. There is a free daily shuttle to Marrakech, so you can combine a peaceful getaway with time sightseeing and haggling in the souks. Having stayed solely in riads in the Medina on my first trip to Marrakech, staying at Quaryati is the best of both worlds. We went into the city once during this trip and fun though it was, it was lovely to get back out into the countryside afterwards. We went specifically to relax, enjoy the Moroccan sunshine and lounge by the pool, but Quaryati is equally a good base for many daytrips, to the Atlas Mountains, the desert or the coast. There is a hammam on site, and I thoroughly recommend trying a hammam and a massage, I feltamazingly relaxed after trying out both. The food is fantastic, a well executed Moroccan-French fusion, and the wine and 3 course evening meals were so good that plenty of walking around the countryside and swimming were required to offset them. Bikes can also be borrowed. I love this place. I didn't want to come home and can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hotel in remote location

Posted 5 Nov 2015
It was the second time we have been here and I'm sure we'll be back. Francois and her staff are excellent-nothing is too much trouble. It's a lovely hotel in a very secluded location, perfect for relaxing and very safe for single travellers. The food and drink is good, rooms extremely clean and the whole feel very friendly and comfortable.

Quiet oasis close to Marackech

Posted 6 May 2015
Cons: Bicycles could be in better condition
The hotel was just as described, quiet, peaceful with stunning views over the Atlas Mountains. The hotel staff was always happy and willing to help. Francoise was very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was overall relaxed and you felt at home. The only things that need a little more service are the bicycles as the closest villages are 5km away. If you are adventurous and would like to explore the area with better bicycles you can get easier through the small roads that lead you to the towns of Sidi Abdellah and Ourika otherwise you need to walk or rent a taxi, car. The food was nice and there are also available gluten free meals, breakfast which helped in my stay. I would surely recommend this place to anyone wanting some days away from big cities and a big breath into the Atlas mountains.

Tranquil retreat!

Posted 31 Mar 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Umbrellas available...maybe there were, we just didn't ask!
Location: Shuttle bus much appreciated
Mint tea on arrival, along with a pleasant welcome. Throughout the service was efficient and somehow, quietly relaxed. At first glance the dinner menu seemed limited however, changed each evening and the dishes we had were very good, generous portions too. Breakfast was consistently varied and more than adequate. The weather for our stay was disappointing and limited our use of the excellent pool to nil! Spent several hours in front of the log fire, sometimes along with other guests, reading or chatting. The easy circular walk of the area was pleasant and locals seemed happy to see us. Would love to go back when it's not cold and raining! We left a bag in the taxi taking us to the airport, containing snacks for our journey home, a kindle and i pod. We emailed when we got home. The taxi driver had already dropped it back at Quaryati that evening without us asking! and Francoise organised for them to be sent back to us at home, which we were most grateful for.

Minimalist and deeply relaxing hideaway

Posted 10 Jan 2015
Pros: The property is GORGEOUS, the staff is friendly, the food is very tasty.
Cons: A little more menu variety, drinks variety, heating the pool? The hot tub would have been nice if it were working!
Location: Not much near, but the shuttle runs to the Medina every day and they are helpful with tours, activities, etc.
Quaryati might not be the Ritz - it's up a bumpy dirt road in a semi-rural part of Marrakech, and rooms / amenities are minimalist (ie: not super duper luxe). Attitudes are (very) relaxed, and sometimes it can take a few minutes to find someone to help you with something. Food is minimalist with limited options, but so healthy, so fresh and local, and beautifully prepared. To us none of this was a negative. Quaryati might be the single most gorgeous and relaxing place I've ever been. You are treated like family, and mostly left to your own devices to lounge in the sun, sit by the pool, bike on dirt pathways amongst the goat herders, or have a glass of wine on the terrace (where the staff will kindly offer you a little plate of olives). The staff is very friendly and do everything to accomodate you (including food, which is always made incredibly fresh and from scratch). Francoise the owner is incredibly nice. the cats are affectionate, and peacocks roam freely. The place is stunningly beautiful, with rose bushes, olive trees, and beautiful foliage everywhere. It is the opposite of a tacky mega resort swarming with tourists. So if you want to be waited on hand and foot with the most luxurious rooms, this might not be your place. But if you want to be truly deeply relaxed, part of the family, and far away from the madding crowd in a tiny paradise, I would absolutely recommend Quaryati!

Bliss!

Posted 29 Dec 2014
This ecolodge is simply one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places I have ever stayed. Francoise and her team's service is seamless, attentive and second to none. The grounds and views are divine and the tranquillity of the resort is like no other. You could easily spend your entire holiday at the resort and feel perfectly content. The attention to detail, willingness to go above and beyond their service and beautiful interior and exterior decor puts this resort at a 5 class, world class level in my books. The place to spend a holiday in Morocco for sure. Shuttles in to the Medina and organised trips into the Atlas Mountains ensure you get a full experience. Thank you Francoise to you and your team for making Christmas 2014 very special for Mya and I.

Quiet, relaxing hotel out in the wilderness

Posted 9 Aug 2014
This was a fantastic hotel. The facillities and staff were immense and even though it was really difficult to get to the staff were so helpful in arranging transport and giving advice on where to go and how to get there. The Food was amazing and I would definitely recommend it.
