The staff is wonderful.
The food is very, very good!
Our room was upgraded when we arrived, was very nice.
We had an amazing 4 days!
Totally worth the $.

First of all, Heriberto and Francisco and the staff at Andrea made us fans of Velas! Heriberto is such a great culinary guide that I deferred to him with every meal selection and drink pairing. Francisco was also extremely attentive and when we saw him working at different stations, he went out of his way to make us feel welcome. These people are the true asset of this place. Velas is close to the airports, so the ride is short. However, it is still in a secluded posh beach front area that feels so far from
The airport. Our Expedia level gave us upgrades, including free transport/room upgrades/extra amenities. Velas was extremely communicative when I was making arrangements for the transportation from the airport. When we landed at PVR, I got confused and was suckered in by the time share ppl. DON’T make this mistake. Exit past them. Before leaving the airport, turn left . The VIP desk that manages the transportation is behind that bar on the left as you are facing the doors to exit PVR. The hotel is in the Puerto Vallarta Marina zone. It is about a 15 minute leisurely walk through safe streets. There are also cabs stationed throughout in case you want to quit walking or bough too much stuff to carry.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and checked in promptly. We were offered the upgraded room, but elected to keep the original one. Our room was great and had a kitchen, but we barely used it since we had the all inclusive package. The staff made this stay!!!!

We (my wife , two year old and two month old) stayed in the studio room 3601. It has a small balcony with beautiful view of sunrise and part of the beach. The service is exceptional. The food is delicious, I recommend the steaks over the seafood. The pools are spacious, we went in November not that many people. The beach is nice. The room has air conditioning and snacks and beverages at your disposal. It's located close to the marina (maybe a 30 min walk). To me it seemed a little overpriced but I think it's because of inflation right now so everything is high.

Amazing, I have celiac disease and a rare anaphylaxis to gluten. The staff was very understanding and were able to accommodate for me. Overall an amazing experience

This was a great stay. We got a good deal. I believe it was listed as 7 restaurants of which there were only two. The food and drinks were decent. Very clean hotel. My biggest complaint is that the number of restaurants didn’t match what was advertise and the food and drinks could’ve been better.

Our sister hotels, such as the Grand Velas series, do have a wide assortment of dining options, but also at a great price.
