Really nicely redone rooms with big comfy bed, big TV, lots of plugs, USB, near lots of cool stuff, free parking, reasonable rates

Good place for last minute bookings, parking was small but ok.

Liked the location. The lover on the bed was dirty, the sheets and towels were stained. There were broken tiles in the bathroom, sloppy chauking and the tub was chipped and needed to be replaced. The reception took copies of my drivers license and credit card, which no one has ever done.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfy and a great price. I appreciate the free onsite parking and A/C. And the little rooftop balcony was cool.

There are many relatively inexpensive hotels on the stretch of Lombard Street between the Palace of Fine Arts and Van Ness, and we have tried maybe a dozen over the years. The location is great for the Marina, Cow Hollow, Golden Gate Bridge, and the Presidio. Good things about the Signature Inn: staff was friendly and efficient. Fixtures in the room were relatively new and worked well--TV, shower, etc. were very good. It was generally clean. Mattress was excellent. Other things: the room was not carpeted, but had vinyl plank flooring. Small holes in the wall had been spackled but not touched up. The bathroom had a loose "barn door" that didn't provide much privacy. The hotel advertises free parking, but the internal lot is too small to accommodate all guests, and from the time we checked in to the next morning, there were no available spaces, so be sure to scout the neighborhood for street parking. The ice machine was out of order; a sign said "Sorry for the inconvenience." We had room 101, which was on the ground floor facing the parking; because there were no blackout curtains, only a set of shutters, it was impossible to make the room truly dark. Towels were clean but a little scratchy--which I don't mind--but mine had a hole in it, which was a step too far toward shabbiness. Given the many similar choices in the neighborhood, I balance the small problems against price. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay.

There was no shower. Water was not connected to shower head was not connected. The owners or managers were not friendly. Advertised that parking was available not enough for number of rooms.

My party of 4 had 2 rooms on the 3rd floor (no elevator), both were clean. We were guests during a peak convention time so all the facilities were booked and VERY overpriced. I confirmed ahead of time via phone call to the motel that we would be able to store our baggage after checking out as we were going on a boat tour prior to departing to the airport andvwould not be able to bring our baggage. Upon check-out, the manager said the storage was full and we couldn't leave our bags. After a stressful 20 minute discussion to find a resolution, we were finally able to store our bags in the laundry room. When we retrieved our bags, the manager kindly offered water for our trip to the airport. My recommendation is to ask for a confirmation email if you have any special requests/requirements.
