"I had a lovely appartment with a four poster bed. There were candles and smooth, white pebbles in the bathroom and a smashing view from the bedroom balcony. Very romantic. "If you're looking for a lovely authentic Cretan experience, I can highly recommend staying at the Amazing Stone Villa. Yiannis and Mary, the owners, were both lovely and welcoming. Maria's Tavern is a must if you stay. We enjoyed climbing near Kapetaniana and Agiofarango. "

"Beds & pillows were comfy. Hotel was quiet. Check in desk stayed open until midnight when I arrived and was very kind on the phone and in person... even at midnight! Upper front rooms have balcony and slight view of ocean. Toilet was leaking, hotel is a little old, but the property is kept up very nicely. Five-minute walk to village & beach.
