This place was average in all respects. Clean enough, but stains on the carpet and scuffed up walls, places where a picture had obviously fallen
Etc. Nothing to turn me away but was obviously steadily declining from neglect over time and lack of upkeep.
The room was ok, bathroom was cramped but the room itself was larger than you’d expect from an eu hotel. There was only one English channel on the tv - sky news, but you’re not coming to Vienna to watch tv.
I paid for breakfast included and when checking in they said as much, but the next morning I was not on the list and had to pay for a dismal breakfast. Save yourself and don’t pay for breakfast here, plenty of cafes within a few blocks that have much better food. I disputed this charge when checking out and the clerk was very uncooperative. Left a very bad impression as I checked out, this review would probably have been a lot better if they’d waived the charges.
Location is ok, there are restaurants and cafes around, and a main shopping street a couple blocks up you can follow to the main tourist area, about a 25 minute walk.
Overall this is a passable hotel at an ok price, but I’d expected a bit better.

A 3-star stay in a different hotel
Posted 21 Aug 2024 on HotelsWe stayed in what seemed to be a different building from the "real" hotel elaya, we had to take a corridor to the back of the building for a lift to our room. The room was branded with another hotel name, clearly a 3-star hotel given the condition of the furniture, lack of amenities and the poor service (2 days wait for an iron). Breakfast buffet okay but not many choiches,

The rooms are modern and very clean.
However, service was almost non-existent. Staff constantly sitting in the courtyard smoking rather than assisting guests. Coffee station in the foyer out of order and judging from the sign, it has been non functional for a long time.
