Well located in the historic centre. Friendly staff, relatively quiet. Poor Wi-Fi signal and getting in and out of the shower practically requires stepping over the bidet

Excellent place to stay when visiting Mantova
We stayed one night at 6 Porte in Mantova, and we enjoyed it. The host is amazing, helped us to schedule our visit to the historical centre, a short ride from the guest house, there is free parking and free shuttle. The room was clean, the bathroom huge. The system to cool and heat the room is somehow inefficient. No fridge in the room, but available for purchase at decent prices were wine, beer, ice cream. The breakfast was nice, plenty of sweet pies and pastries and fruits, nice coffee. The site is very close to the highway. We recommend 6 Porte Guesthouse, for sure.

Nice property, clean and in good shape. Not sure air was working as we saw no AC unit and did not have air circulation in room. Breakfast was very limited. Parking was great.

Although in a quiet location away from the city center, the building was dorm-like and lacked an adequate sound-barrier between the upstairs rooms and the downstairs lounge. Also, whatever the cleaning fluid was, the room reeked like a spilled bottle of perfume. Fortunately there was a small balcolny from which fresh air could be had.

Good choice for the highway traveller.
Brand new hotel, very clean. Close to the highway but away from downtown. Need to drive to town but parking there is easy to find. Need GPS to find it. Italian breakfast (cappucino and cakes). Need to carry your luggage ot the 1st floor - no elevator. Air condition was there but not very efficient.

Nice B&B with a really, really nice proprietor.
From my arrival, all during my stay, and to the end Stephan, the proprietor was always there to call a cab if I needed or give me advice about where to eat or things to see in town. I will repeatedly use this as an example of what it should feel like when you travel abroad. Thanks Stephan.
