After walking 15 min in the rain we arrived to check in. First impressions were that the hotel was clean and impressive! That was quickly met with a staff person who was rude and unfriendly, at one point telling my daughter to remove our umbrella from the counter. We were then advised of the extra $37 per day amenity fee! This was unexpected as this has happened to us before when booking with Expedia, so I am usually extra careful to check that there is no hidden costs when booking. Thus the overall checkin experience was not good!

Great spot down in the LES. Awesome views from the upper floor or restaurant. Staff are super friendly and it's perfectly located to LES, Soho and the metro. The only thing is that it is super loud on the weekends with the club.

IHG attempting to be hip. But they are a chain and the vibe doesn't translate through corporate channels unfortunately. Purple - the night club/day resto ROCKS at nite and is a good space during the day (great views so-so food service), but the overall attempt by the property to be Lower East Side 'hio' is too contrived. I would stay there again - nothing bad to say, just 'average' for the price.
