"What an amazing find! Durango was book up to $400 rooms and this was suggested. What a great accidental find! the room was great. Amy was so helpful.. When asked is there coffee in the room she chuckled and said "its in the stocked kitchen" that I found to be fantastic. The town is lost in time and so quaint and friendly. I will do this again given the opportunity. Mesa Verde just down the road. Was only $120 and I'm glad I passed on the $395 DoubleTree in Durango."
"My girlfriend and I stopped in here for the last night of a long road trip. We got in late and wanted to hit Mesa Verde in the morning so we were planning a quick in and out night.
Front the second we started chatting with the concierge we could tell that the people here genuinely took pride in their work and their motel.
Atmosphere is fun with lots of little secrets to find. Our room was clean, comfortable, and conveniently right next to our car. The shower was somewhat divisive (I love that a monsoon rained down on you though)
Other than that the only piece to mention is that this is certainly an older building. Beds were a king so those were fine but the bathroom was a little tight. I’m 6’3 and (admittedly) clumsy so I knocked into the bathroom quite a bit. Really no big deal but worth considering if anyone in your group is a larger.
Breakfast is a classic continental but somehow more memorable than your usual best western. Can’t get a corn dog at a Holliday inn express. "
"It was a beautiful property, with wild horses that were outside our patio when we woke up. The view was to die for. Our fan in our bathroom didn’t work, but other than that for the area I would hook it again. "
