Summit condominium let down

Posted 7 Apr 2016
Pros: Not much at all.
Cons: Allow guests to have the Wifi password in the room. Clean the pots Don't charge 1/3 of the cost of the vacation with exorbitant fees. Not cool!
Dear Expedia: Our entire experience with this last trip to Mammoth was not great. I had failed to check over my emails closely and did not see the instructions of where to collect the key. So after 1 hour of searching for an second office to pick up our key and being on the phone asking to be relocated by your staff, we finally arrive at the condo (exhausted and frustrated). When I booked the condo it said it was priced at around $200, I booked two nights and was then utterly shocked to see that my bill came to over $600 with extra charges and fees. I will NEVER book accommodation through you again as I cannot for the life of me understand how you can justify such excessive charges. Anyway back to the condo. It was on the top floor, had no balcony, small windows with no view. The tub was old, the beds horrific and to boot we could not find an wifi passcode anywhere. The office at this point was closed. When preparing our food the pots had left over food from another guest (disgusting). So when I went to the office to deliver the key I gently expressed that it had not been the most pleasant of stays, no wifi the first night, dirty pots, uncomfortable beds, all for the grand total of $300 a night. The receptionist was less than apologetic, told me it was not her fault the dishes were dirty and they had no way of telling if they are dirty when people put them away. In the 4 years we have been going to Mammoth we have not had a bad stay until this one :(

Great, but need to know where to check in!

I wish that I had been told that check-in is not on site and is actually at the Mammoth Reservations main office. It took me an hour to figure out where to pick up my keys. Otherwise, everything else was great! Short walk to the lift and convenient because we had our dog. Our room looked like it was recently upgraded. Love the stovepipe fireplace.

Emerson Building

Posted 14 Mar 2016
Pros: Cute and comfy.
Cons: The bedroom linens and carpet.
Location: Location next to Eagle Lodge is very convenient and the neighborhood is very cute as well to take a walk through.
Upon staying at The Summit, I was nervous because I had read the reviews about the condos. I was nervous it would be dirty like they had mentioned. For the price of the 1 bedroom, I thought it was well worth it. The location is killer. It is right next to Eagle Lodge, so it's nice not to have to deal with parking. The condo itself was cute. The linens could use some updating, but other than that, it was great and I would stay there again. I can't speak for the other units, but unit 7 in Emerson was comfortable. I liked that they had a garage as well and they are pet friendly.

Great Spot Near Eagle Lodge

Posted 9 Feb 2016 on Hotels
Spent the weekend at Summit Condos for a snowboarding weekend. This place is walking distance from the Eagle lodge. If you don't feel like walking, the Green Line bus stop is right across the street and runs every 15 minutes. The condo was well kept and had good temperature flow, unlike some other places where the heater is stifling. The only downside is the numbering of the units. Since we stayed in Building 2, all the unit numbers started with 2 (i.e. 202, 245, etc.) no matter what floor you are on. Be sure to ask the front desk which floor your unit is on. Especially if you decide to lug a load of ski equipment to the unit before you find it. Overall a great spot to stay and we will definitely be staying there again.

The condo was great. It had a full kitchen, large living space, clean bathroom and a large bedroom.

Nice and clean condo

It is $140/nite but you have to pay another $180 for tax and fee which is way too expensive for two days. It would be better if they put all fee into room price so we would not feel cheated.

Disappointed

Posted 26 Jun 2015 on Hotels
We came in about 10pm and had a hardest time looking for this place and the room. The room was not clean. Faucet was loose and faucet in the tub had build up lime deposit. The tub was dirty. Guests are expected to take the trash out upon check out. I will not come back here.
