A very pleasant location using an old building which has been tastefully restored along with additional buildings added in keeping with the original. Very pleasant and helpful staff and all areas in good condition. The duvets were a bit heavy for the time of year and rooms lacking suitable seats. A few areas in the bathroom needed slightly more attention to cleaning where some bits had been missed. Other than that it is good value and recommended.

Fab place!
Fantastic overnight stay! So happy we booked to stay here for our wedding anniversary. Room was 1st one in court yard called Lapwing. Clean and modern with everything we needed. Had our evening meal in the pub next door, great service and lovely food! Breakfast the next morning was equally good. Staff friendly, clean rooms, food great. Except value too. Would definitely return!

The property is adorable. The staff is absolutely amazing and beyond helpful. Emma in the restaurant is an absolute sweetheart. This hotel/restaurant will go above and beyond for your needs. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy. I wish we would have stayed there longer.

We have stayed her before, it's welcoming and a good breakfast, it can be busy for evening meals. Quite convenient for a visit into Chester too. I think the bedding needs looking into regarding buying new sheets and pillows.
