This review could have been higher but I’m really disappointed with how the hotel have handled my complaint. I booked this hotel for a special 40th birthday celebration for my friends and I - it was NOT cheap - but we were enticed by the rooftop pool and bar and most importantly: indoor pool and spa! On arrival at the hotel we were not informed of any issues with the spa other than the sauna wasn’t working. However on the Saturday when we actually wanted to use the spa and pool, we were told it was all closed. We mentioned we’d only been told about the sauna, to which we were told “no the whole thing is shut for maintenance”. We received zero communication about this prior to arriving and when we asked the person if they had any suggestions for alternatives she simply suggested going to a bar!!! She was super rude about it and not apologetic in the slightest. Good customer service would have apologised and maybe offered a free cocktail by way of making up for it! We’ve been told subsequently that the spa and indoor pool aren’t part of the room price therefore they won’t offer even a small refund- however I would argue that if you advertise something as an amenity - it absolutely is taken into considerationSo that’s the reason for the poor review. The rooms were nice enough but honestly for the price we paid not special enough. The breakfast was divine - really generous & delicious. The rooftop bar was fab. The pool wasn’t really a pool - you certainly won’t be swimming in it!

Check in experience terrible - took almost half an hour as the staff were just clueless. Room smelt damp. Shower flooded bathroom when used - staff not interested and didn’t even bring spare towels as “housekeeping had gone home”. Aside from these issues (!) stay was ok.
