"It was a nice time at Pela mare hotel, the ambience is lovely and quiet for a family relaxation. What is unique about the Property is the aerial view, the wonderful Greek culture and amazing staff. My stay was okay until my check out time and was slammed with an unplanned bill which was based on not passing information correctly. Information should be decimated properly and detailed accordingly because language barrier is imminent. But overall it's not bad for a family stay. The management...

"Very beautiful views atop a mountain overlooking the Mediterranean. The road up is a challenge, for sure. Probably unlike anything else you have driven, but very doable with a little patience. The size of the place it a little tight for a family of 4, but you can make it work. The pool and patio are lovely and the hosts are very kind. "

"This villa was truly like living in a dream. It’s exactly how it’s portraits in the pictures. The host was very welcoming, had lots of recommendations of restaurants, taxis and more. The cleaning crew were spectacular, the random gifts (raki, wine, pastries etc) oh we love it there. It was private, clean, quiet and dreamy. "Excellent stay at Marina’s villa. Conveniently located 10-15min from Héraklion’s airport which is nice when arriving late like we did. The property manager was very reactive and available at checking in and out. The owners are very nice and offered us some delicious local pastries. Highly recommend this place for a stay in the Heraklion’s area."

"The location and the apartment were both outstanding. Our host George was excellent. He was always helpful and readily available. The beach was nearby as were many restaurants. Our room was clean and a good size. The pool was beautiful with amazing views. "

LOVE IT! 2 senior woman and we felt extremely safe. Our apt was cute, clean, beds comfy and quiet. The apt was fully equipped if you chose to cook. Plenty of restaurants down the hill overlooking the sea. Grocery store nearby. Location was great for sightseeing around Crete. Highly recommend. "

"Such a welcome! The people running this hotel are very friendly. I visited end of October with my 10y daughter. She could play in the kids club twice a day (except Wednesday) and has a little kids disco in the evening. There isn’t much to do in the resort so this is a ‘quiet, relaxing holiday’ the beach area behind the hotel was lovely. If you want any ‘life’ Heraklion is 15min cab away for €14 with lots of shops and restaurants. I loved this holiday. "

"We stayed at Agapi Beach Resort from 27/10 to 03/11/24 for the third consecutive year. This place never fails to disappoint. Beautiful hotel complimented by the fantastic staff. The accommodation is lovely and cleaned thoroughly every day. The food is lovely and varied each day. As you walk around the hotel the grounds are immaculate with an array of trees, bushes, plants and flowers. Numerous pools dotted about. The beach is two minutes from the main complex. Beach towels provided every day. There are different places on the complex to eat. We can’t praise Agapi Beach Resort enough. Just something about the place that just makes us want to go back every year. Hopefully we will again in 2025. "

"Could not recommend this place more! We will definitely be going back. The staff was phenomenal, when we arrived we were greeted by a concierge who took our bags inside/to our rooms and made us a mimosa while we filled out our check in details. We did the half board so we got a buffet breakfast and dinner each night that had so many options and were very delicious! The front desk also made us a reservation for the el la carte dinner which was also free. The staff didn’t hesitate when we asked them to book us a taxi to check out city centre as well as booking an early taxi to get us to the port the morning we checked out, also supplying us with a box breakfast to go. Highly recommend this place! Absolutely loved every minute of our stay! "

Great Hotel outside of Heraklion

"This was a terrific hotel about 25 kilometers out of Heraklion. It was fine for us because we had a car and the driving easy. The hotel was walking distance down the hill Agia Pelagia which is a cute little beach town. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night and were pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of the dishes we had- way better than a hotel restaurant usually is. The staff was great and the breakfast buffet was very good. If you are planning a trip to Knossos and the Archeological Museum this is a good option. It was nice to get back to the quiet of an out of town hotel. The only downside is they are trying to hard to be kitschy which is totally unnecessary for such a quality property. We loved it all in all"

"This property has a sister property that is right on the sea. We were invited to use both its beach seating and its pool. There was also a delicious breakfast included in our stay. The staff at both properties were warm and helpful. My travel friend is Celiac and the restaurant went out of their way to accommodate her needs. The only downside was the neighbourhood was limited other restaurants. It's very much a resort neighbourhood, so having a car would be helpful if you want to have better dining options."
